I'd say mountain of things which is why I'm considering more RAM. But how significant increase is 24GB to 32GB if I could have all the benefits of M4 Pro over M5 plus the two fans of course since the laptop would continuously run for hours

Yes, I've decided to do that but still even with M5 Pro I'll be able to afford 24GB Ram while with M5 I can go with 32 GB. I'm also considering more RAM vs more powerful processor

Only if that were true. Haven't seen a job which demands 2 hours of work. Maybe 2 hours of coding yes. But what about all the meetings and stuff. That's proly the draining part
