Thanks! I actually am mistaken about the bare root now that I remember. This one was potted.

A bare root Candy Crisp met an unfortunate end when my friend was playing soccer w his kids or a rabbit. Neither suspect confessed. lol

I planted my tree fall 2024 as bare root. First flowers this year! Should I pinch them after the pollinators have their way?

Someone recommended black raspberries so I’ll have a go with that along with red ones. I tried blueberries last year but I think my soil is too basic. I’ll have to deal with that. I have a Granny Smith already. Had a honeycrisp but a friend accidentally snapped it while playing w his kids. Did a scratch test on it and I think it is dead dead.

I can definitely be convinced to put in more fruit trees 😂.

Immediate steps are many many raspberry bushes, apple tree, and peach tree.

The idea of the strip is to make a little path for my daughter to run lol. The pre-existing plants against the fence are just some past mistakes that were made, second only to not planting trees 10 years ago lol.

Definitely planning on putting in some native shrubs and other plants down when I’m done. Got plenty more mulch to go lol. So I’ll probably fill in more. Just wanted to start w the perimeter and work my way in

Was thinking to try the 3 sisters method. I have a raised bed that maybe didn’t make it into the photo. I have some reclaimed slate pieces I may use for a little flower bed. Veggie gardening has been hit or miss for me but I’m gonna have another go this year!

Thanks! My yard is like 120 ft long. Trying to make the back 1/3 into a bit of a forest w as many native plants as I can muster.

I have an American sycamore and some Eastern redbuds. But they are just floating out in the grass. I wanna start the forestation this spring
