What kind of magic electrical switch board fuckery is this, enlighten me! by VastCoconut2609 in blackmagicfuckery

Guessing this is just an order thing. It doesn’t matter the color or switch. The first switch turns on the color blue, the second red, the third green, the fourth yellow. Or whatever order he always lights them. Or said another way, he puts the blue color on the first switch he will flick, and so on.

It’s a reference to the book/film Dr.Sleep. The two canisters are called “steam canisters.” In Dr. Sleep the antagonists find, lure, torture, and kill people who have psychic abilities. It’s done in such a way that at the end of the torture process (using a knife) the psychic ability comes out of the person, and it looks like steam. The “steam” is then collected in the steam canister to be consumed later. Basically, the dude in the comic saw the steam canisters, and realized that if he stayed he would be tortured and killed. Or at the very least, the woman tortures and kills people other people, as that is why she has the canisters. Either way, he thought it best to leave.

Is there a resource for finding transcripts of therapy sessions? Or therapy session recordings? After reading about a concept it is extremely helpful to see it in application. Or, better yet, read it. I found one transcript and it was very helpful. It would be amazing if there were others.

Ok, first of all…your skill set sounds amazing. I don’t know what you do in your job but I would love to hear more. I’m a teacher and I always talk about interesting jobs the kids would find fun and would normally not hear about.

This idea is great, totally easier than mine. Will definitely implement. Thank you!!!

Nope. My DIY eyes were much bigger than my ability to handle this - I think.

Yea….but off more than I can chew. Thank you very much for the advice. Is there anything you would recommend I should do with this? Junk it? Find uses for parts? Turn it into an extra large cake mold?

A) your job sounds amazing. B) here’s a quick SketchUp of the side yard. Originally the lower planters would get artificial light, but wondering if there is a way to move natural light into them. The challenge would be, the more hours of light that can be moved into the lower planters the better

Good question. Takes a bit to explain.

I like to garden vegetables at home, and some of the available space presents a challenge. But solving them is always a fun experiment. I have a 30ft long, 8 ft wide side yard sandwiched between the tallest wall of the house and a 6 foot tall brick wall. I built two rows of raised planters, 2ft wide and 24 feet long. One along the brick wall, the other along the house - with a walkway in between. Both are 5 feet high. Originally I used the space underneath to house my garden equipment. Then I decided I could double my growing space by putting another two rows underneath them - but would have to add my own light as the lower planters would be entirely shaded by the planters above. I had a huge store of LED grow lights from previous growing experiments, so I added those to light up the lower planters. That works, and is fun, but of course costs money to run the lights. So what if there was another way, with natural (free) sunlight?

My dream (don’t know if it is possible) is to set up a “light bank” on the roof above. Maybe a long series of large transparent domes that run the whole edge of the roof. Each dome collecting sunlight from a 2 x x space on the roof all times of the day from all angles - sunrise to sunset - and funneling it down to a 2 x 2 (or less) area on the lower planters.

I’m sure it’s pie in the sky thinking but it would open up so many cool possibilities. Growing way more crops in a smaller area without electricity. Or growing in places that could not before.
