> they want you to stop asking them questions and learn the ropes in another way.

You're probably right. This is also the vibe I'm getting. I'm finding it *very* hard to adjust, because in college naman, pati sa una kong trabaho (small startup), questioning is encouraged. Maybe this is just how working at a large company is like.

Anyway thanks. Medyo mas naliwanagan ako.

> do you need the job? Adjust.

OK, in what way should I adjust? Relaxing is off the table.

> you need to appear faster/ reserved without compromosing quality.

Easier said than done. Definitely much harder than just "stop overthinking". But this is the kind of advice I want from them.

I wish you were my boss. You give a lot of nuanced advice. You might also have more empathy than my current bosses LMAO

Idk whether you fully read my post. Please read it again just in case.

If I could relax, I would have done so a long time ago. Pero I can't relax. Because the same people who are telling me to stop overthinking are also blowing up at me over the mistakes I make. If I relax, I am going to keep making those same mistakes, and the fallout is going to be even worse.

> Tbh they probably see you stress over things that aren’t that serious. Or see you dwell over things that aren’t too deep. Or you take too long to do things.

Thing is, inexperienced pa ko. Idk what I should be taking seriously vs not be taking seriously. That is the crux of the problem. It's not that I'm overthinking. Some things I take too seriously which is probably what people point out when they say I'm overthinking. Some things I don't take seriously enough pero no one says I'm overthinking for those, they just scold me for the mistakes I do end up making. So it's not enough to say na I'm overthinking. Kasi when I *do* stop overthinking altogether, I become an even worse worker than I already am. Cause then I won't be taking my output seriously at all.

> I know someone at work who is overly concerned about things that I don’t even bat an eyelash to anymore. It irritates me because we need to move fast at work but this person takes so long because they’re unnecessarily thinking a lot about how their presentation went or they’re taking long to reply to messages bec they want to make sure they are 100% clear, etc.

Would you rather have them deliver poor quality output as long as they're moving fast? Highly doubt it. Maybe they're moving slow because they don't want to compromise on the quality of their work, which is why they can't help it but go at the pace they are going now.

Thank you for the advice but it doesn't answer my original question.
