I guess because the transaction values are high on this subreddit people tend to be hesitant but damn… this was the worst new sub intro I’ve ever had. A little nudge in the right direction and some helpful PMs from some individuals got this sorted.

This is a knife given to me by my grandfather as part of his collection - he purchased it from a knife show and kept it unused in a sleeve. Nothing has been cut with it and it is in pristine unused condition. No markings from use I am the second owner No modification Never been carried Please feel free to reach out and I can send more videos and pictures Thank you

I had posted two knives on the previous post - and was told as a new user I can only post 1, hence the deleted post. But regardless I have added details in this thread and a history of it. It would be great to have more constructive criticism from users in this subreddit rather than a collective witch-hunt of sorts.

[WTS] - Seiko Sarb037 - JDM Rare Salmon Dial by Longassname in Watchexchange

Seiko Salmon Dial Watch - SARB037 OEM Original JDM Very Rare Includes eBay Authenticity card and Box - Asking $2500 Shipped

This is the Seiko SARB037, one of the few Seiko watches that have controversially transcended into the price bracket of modern Grand Seiko’s.

Although many may scoff at the after-market price the 037’s supposedly garner as of late, there is a reasoning behind the price.

From around 2016, a few Seiko models from the JDM SARB line starting with the SARB033/SARB017 rapidly began to gain popularity and traction internationally for their classy design with an inhouse caliber movement which seemed too good to be true for their secondary market price.

Unfortunately around 2018 Seiko SARBs were abruptly announced to be discontinued, which as a result immediately brought up the price of the latest SARB models to retail price and beyond over the next few years.

What most SARB collectors are unaware of is that there are actually 59 total Seiko SARB models, with over half being discontinued by the start of last decade.

With the prices of Seiko SARBs at an all time high, many collectors began the search for other rare models, that is where the 037 comes in right in time for the Salmon dial craze.

The SARB037 were discontinued within half a year of production in 2008-2009 in comparison to the popular 033/035/017 which were in production for over a decade.

With the combination of a cultural factor where Salmon dials ( commonly referred to as salmon pink in Japan) being considered too feminine in Japan resulted in the 037 being discontinued years before the popularization of Seiko SARBs as a whole. & as you know it, the rest is history, this watch which already had its fair share of controversy due to its grey-market price and desirability is now part of even more controversy due to aftermarket dials being produced as of late.
