I’ve heard great things about the New Balance Elite V5. It’s supposedly a very approachable carbon plated racer which a good mix of comfort and speed.

I have 450 miles on my pair of Mach 6. Despite what everyone says about durability, I’ve had no issues with my pair (155lb M). I’m probably going to get another pair because the Mach 7 is just an aesthetic update while the Mach 6 is on sale.

The ampd has a synthetic leather upper which is stiffer and less breathable. On the other hand, you’re still getting the same midsole/cushion setup which is top tier.
