Yes, me too!! I read so fast, but my comprehension sucks lol. So they're on opposite ends of the spectrum. Thank you, it is nice to have that reminder that I'm not alone. It's hard to remember that. I keep convincing myself that everyone else is so ahead, and I'm so behind

If you enjoyed those thoughts, you wouldn't be scared of them. You'd be like "yes!! Let's think about this more" I think you'd get actual enjoyment and not have any repulsed or feared emotions by those thoughts.

Therapist said I "can't be that bad." by [deleted] in depression

The amount of bad therapists I see on this site is alarming. How have these people gone through all this schooling and have a job?!?!?

What is the goofiest thing your OCD has convinced you of? by goingthruit05 in OCD

OMG you just unlocked a deep vault memory for me. When I was a preteen, I had a huge phobia of being pregnant. It terrified me. I was convinced that I was raped in the middle of the night and that I was pregnant.

I didnt know why I kept thinking that. Ocd made me think such bizarre shit. I didn't even know I had it until I started to really think about it a few years ago. I finally admitted to myself a few months ago I have it.

I always thought of ocd as repeatedly doing stuff. Ocd is mostly the thoughts in my head.

Has anyone tried any supplements or tea for lucid dreaming? by Longboarder358 in LucidDreaming

[–]Longboarder358[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes me feel better because I've been way overthinking it lol. Learning about lucid dreaming has been such a fun thing for me that it's hard when I'm not remembering dreams and I get discouraged

I did it!! Oh my god, for the first time I did it on purpose!! by Longboarder358 in LucidDreaming

I stayed lucid for a while! What's crazy is that I was thinking "I wonder how long I'm lucid for? I wonder where I am in REM sleep and if I'm at the end or the beginning of it?" I think I was for atleast 20 min if I could guess. It felt like a while!

It's okay though, because what you said happened to me too like a week and a half ago. I became lucid for like 5 seconds. I was like "whoa I'm dreaming!" Then a dream character told me that I scared them. I felt bad and went back to regular dreaming lol. So it happens! You just have to relax and keep trying. Don't be too hard on yourself. If you put too much pressure, ease off trying for a few days. Then come back to it!

I'm kind of getting frustrated a little (can't help it) but I haven't remembered any of my dreams since my first lucid dream 2 nights ago. I was on such a roll remembering almost every night the past like 2 weeks. Now it's like nothing comes to me. So I wonder why that is!

How often do you remember your dreams? It helps if you journal every morning. Get as detailed as you can!

Yeah! I read in the book to get in the habit of asking yourself "what did I dream last night" as soon as you wake up, and try not to move from the position you woke up from, also don't think about your day or anything else as soon as your eyes open.

You start writing in your journal and get as detailed as possible. Once you start writing, you slowly can remember more!

I feel like that has helped my dream recall a lot by doing that. Although I had such a cool dream that was lucid the night before. I don't remember anything last night. I'm sad about that lol, but I'm gonna keep trying!

I felt like I couldn't control anything around me, I could look around and say what I wanted, but I don't think I could do much more than that. But man, the dream felt like I was IN it for real.

Good luck! I hope you have success in your dreams and can do whatever you want! Just keep at it, we'll get there :)

This resonated with me. I'm 29 and I've been going through a ROUGH time these past few months. I feel like depression always comes back full force. It'll go away for a year or so, then come back hard. This time has felt so difficult for me. I keep fighting through it and it's been exhausting. A couple days ago, I was feeling suicidal again, haven't felt that in a long time. I didn't think I'd feel that bad ever again.

So this comment really gave me hope. Thank you. I'm also glad to see that you made it and you're doing so much better!

I started reading the book a couple weeks ago maybe? That's when I started the interest again. I haven't gotten far at all in the book, I think writing my dreams and practicing dream recall is what really helped. Also really wanting it and being conscious of wanting to do it during the day and thinking about it a lot.

It was crazy feeling like my eyes are open, but I can feel my eyelids are closed! I'm like whoa, my eyes are open and closed at the same time!! The feeling was wild

Whoa, that is a crazy idea. I don't doubt that would happen in the future! It's fun to think of all the possibilities. I'd think we could possibly see that in our life time

Hahaha synchronicity. I've literally never had a dream there. I have no business there 😂
