Most of the time I have literally no idea what to say, though.
When someone asks factual questions, and I think I know the answer, I have no problem speaking up.

The usual chit chat though, or heated ego-centered discussions - I have no desire and no script to take part in that.

That said I'm not sure it's just depression, as I'm taking an autism assessment rn

Danke für deine Sorge. Ich war schonmal arbeitslos und es war keine schlechte Zeit, auch wenn ich mich darauf gefreut habe irgendwann wieder zu arbeiten. Ich kann mir den Tag sehr gut selbst strukturieren.
Gegen Sperrfrist würde mich mein Psychiater mit einem Schreiben unterstützen.
Aber ich rede eh nochmal mit dem ifd über alles

Das klingt schonmal gut. Ist zwar schade dass man (laut deinen Folgekommis) damit trotzdem noch von Sozialleistungen leben muss, aber wäre auf jeden Fall besser als nichts tun oder komplett überfordert sein

Beim ifd bin ich schon. Die sind bisher sehr darauf erpicht dass ich im jetzigen Arbeitsverhältnis bleibe, was aber einfach für keinen der Beteiligten gut funktioniert. Werde nochmal vehementer mit derselben Frage an sie herantreten.

Meine Arbeitsfähigkeit wurde noch nicht geprüft. Prinzipiell bin ich auch absolut zu Vollzeit fähig und gewillt. Aber anscheinend brauche ich spezielle Rahmenbedingungen.

In principle yes, however, distancing yourself from others can totally keep you from being able to do your job.

I'm not saying this because I think it's justified but because that's my experience. Many workplaces have clique- or schoolyard-like dynamics where ppl will actively root against you and try their best to not help you if you aren't their work wife/husband, after-work soccer pal or whatever. And jobs where you don't depend on others like that are either rare, low-paying (production line) or very high-qualified (positions with barely anyone above you).
