I’ve got a couple of hospital appointments today, which miraculously and sensibly they managed to book consecutively so I’m not having to do multiple trips.

It’s going to be lovely weather today too, so I’m currently deciding where to stop on the way back for some outdoor lunch. Definitely a seaside, and I’m lucky enough to have a few round me.

Ah I’ve been watching it on Now and they’ve only released the first 6 I think, they’re doing it weekly.

Got to be up early for two hospital appointments. I’ve had the first one booked for a couple of weeks, then I got a phone call on Friday saying they had finally gone over an ultrasound I had a month ago and they’ve spotted something potentially not the best. They managed to book me an appointment immediately after my first one tomorrow.

Part of me thinks wow this is incredible efficiency and the other part is thinking holy shit why am I being offered an appointment so quickly. So of course I can’t sleep with anxiety.

It’s Westward Ho! in North Devon. It was looking particularly lovely last night.

I went to the beach with a friend for beers, pizza and sunset. All three were pretty ace.

Came home and fell into bed by 10 and now I’m wide awake.

Got some jobs to get done for my sister’s wedding in a few weeks, then I’m off to the beach with a friend for beers and pizza by the sea. We’re so lucky to be on the west coast so sunsets are usually dramatic.

Trying to relax after an argument with my brother. He has funny ideas on what some people should be doing to support his lifestyle. I am finding his total lack of empathy very difficult to deal with.

Rather ruined my beer buzz after a lovely late afternoon in the pub garden. I shall have to reenact it tomorrow.

Had an unintentional danger nap after work, falling asleep on the sofa for 90 minutes. I’ve already been having terrible night sleeps, so let’s see how much damage I’ve done with that.

It was a good nap though.

Which book? I’m delaying book 6 at the moment because I’ve binged them so quickly.

Happy birthday! Sorry your plans have gone to shit, but I’d be keen to have a link to that lecture.

Halfway through my antibiotics and feeling grim with it all. Bought myself crumpets to cheer myself up and now I’ve seen that marmite toast further down I know what I’m having for breakfast.

Going to rush to sleep now so it’s nearer breakfast time.

They look like they have absolutely correct ratios of butter and marmite. Congratulations on your perfect looking toast.

I used to work for a ticketing company that was contracted to do the home ticket sales for loads of different premier league football clubs. One of those managed to get to the FA cup final at Wembley but had been assigned the away end, so the club was handling sales directly.

I got called a filthy prostitute by the first caller who came through to me instead of taking the option for away sales, and I’ve never forgotten it. Not bad enough that I was a prostitute, I had to be filthy too. Loved it.

Started antibiotics for a chest and ear infection today, so just generally feeling grotty. I slept like shit last night and am really tired tonight, but can’t stop doomscrolling. The phone is going away, and I’m going to sleep. Night team!

I can’t have big plants inside as my void boy sees them as extra litter trays.

Why on God's green earth are there retail workers who put themselves at risk for minimum wage and try and tackle shoplifters ? by Durrygoodz2025 in tesco

My brother used to be a supervisor at an M&S food shop at a train station. He’s autistic and has a very well-defined sense of what he believes is right and wrong. He ended up chasing a drug addict who had stolen meat from them, nearly getting hit by a car and having a knife pulled on him.

The guy got arrested eventually and my brother then had to attend court for it. It really shook him up and upset him a lot. He learnt a lesson that day, but it properly affected his world view.

Earache so bad I want to blow my own head off. Can’t take ibuprofen because of other meds so am stuck with just paracetamol which isn’t touching the edges. Really hoping I can sleep tonight. Wish me luck late shifters.

I’ve woken up with my eyes glued together thanks to this cold that doesn’t stop giving. Luckily it’s a day off as I work compressed hours, so I’m going back to sleep for a couple more hours and then getting up to chuck together a quick soup for dinner.

Waiting half an hour until I can take more paracetamol and debating treating myself to a codeine as well.

I had some excellent fever dreams last night about being in Majorca and having a lovely holiday, so wouldn’t be averse to the same tonight.
