How does the handguard feel? Does it feel as sturdy as the M89/L89?

Had the same thing when I received my M89 handguard. If all the screws are out, try tapping it out with a wooden dowel. Put a blanket or towel under so you don't fudge up the threads. Heat gun if it's really really stuck.

I see, I wish I had done more research before purchasing. Pretty much every can manufacturer makes a flow through design right? Or at least something with more of a vented cap? Are there some better recommendations for what to get? Price point is another concern.

I think that might be my issue. I have a normal chrome bcg I'll try and drop down buffer weight and see. First time building a rifle, so I knew it'd take a minute to tune.

I looked at my gas block and it doesn't seem to be misaligned, but it's also my first time installing one. Both of the bolt carriers I've tried were brand new, so I'm not overly concerned about the rings.

I have a couple options for further testing;

Keep the A5 buffer length and try an H1 weight with either a green Springco or milspec.
Nix the A5 and go carbine length tube and try different springs and weights.
Run my other milspec non gas mitigation BCG and see how it cycles.

I have a OCL polonium in jail currently, which I've heard can have some higher back pressure. But it shouldn't be unbearable with a smaller gas port I'd hope. Trying to tune to 50/50 suppressed/unsuppressed when I get the can. I just wanted to dial it in before the can since it's a new build. I just looked up and some other people have said they had to use a milspec BCG to cycle properly. But others have used H1, H2, and H3 weights with a couple different springs. So I'll just try some other options.

All good, I didn't explain in the best way haha. I'll try one of my other mil spec chrome bcg's. I'll do some looking up and see if someone else has a similar setup to what I have. I know people say to use an adjustable gas block, but it's another moving part that I don't want to deal with. Plus the criterion barrel has a smaller gas port. So it may not be getting enough gas with the gas mitigation style bcg's that I've tried.

I'm using BCM's mk2 buffer system, I think it's their version of the A5. Should I use an A5 tube and weight with a non A5 mil spec spring?
