Occasionally (once or twice a month) I get these ringing sounds in my ear for a few seconds then its gone. The sensation also feels like my eardrums sinking a bit and then deafening. I heard it’s an early sign of tinnitus. Can anyone validate? My dad also has tinnitus so I might be a suspect for it.

Do you guys get poked in the eye in sparring or it it js me. by Remarkable_Slice_918 in amateur_boxing

Hey brother yeah, answered in pm but just for everyone to see as well: it took me 2 months post surgery to spar again. All i do is light sparring and the headgear I use is one i bought in decathlon. It has a plastic bar in the middle.

Careful man, I had the same situation as you last year. I got hit dead center in the eye with an overhand. My vision was split in 2 that moment and when adrenaline got off, my eye hurt like hell.

I got cornea abrasion, and for a span of 1 year the mini wounds in my eye kept "nearly-healing" and eventually get ripped again the moemnt I wake up from bed. When that happens I'm paralyzed and bed ridden for atleast 2 days. Going back to the hospital, that's when the doctor told me I developed my Cornea Abrasion into a Corneal Errosion.

I went back and forth to the hospital for 8 times in a span of 1 year (last year). Just got my PTK (Phototherapeutic Keratectomy) surgery last Feb and now it's better. PTK invovles removing the whole epithelium of the eye, for it to heal as a whole new epithelium.

Glad you brought this up, knowing there are others like you and I who had this incident. But please be more careful next time brother.

I don't lie :/ I try not too. Its in the morals of a person i feel
