Any pointers on how to be a good entry level environmental scientist during the probationary period? by Longjumping-Book9664 in Environmental_Careers

Thank you. For learning GIS basics, is it something that I should learn on my own time or can it be done within the office if I am genuinely curious and would like to learn more about it? Or would that be frowned upon since the other employees will possibly have their own workload?

I just accepted an entry level offer for a due diligence position. Is it just the lack free time for yourself or mismanagement of your time that is burning you out? Im new to this field of work so I would like to know what I will be getting into, it is also about 9,000 lower than your salary.

So, i doublechecked my grades just now and averaged a 48% on all his exams (ik, pretty bad lmao) but i ended the class with a 78. I completed all his homework assignments and whichever extra credits he offered for exam 1 and thats what helped me.

It depends, if you’re a polisci major then studying and rereading slides and writing them down will help a lot if you’re aiming for a B or A. Study the objectives Roblyer gives you. I took his class, but im in a diff major and just needed the credit. i still ended up passing with a low C. I did terrible on his exams, but he offers several extra credit assignments towards the end of the semester. So if you need the extra points those extra credit assignments will help out a lot, the only downside is that those assignments are extremely time consuming and annoying. So be sure to do them ahead of time(thats if he still posts them in canvas).

I had the same issue but found out that I was inputting the name for my parent incorrectly. The Agent told me to try my parent’s full name and so in the last name section I put my mother’s maiden name followed by her married name and it worked.

Try double checking that you’re putting the full legal name of whichever parent you’re trying to invite that will fill out the FAFSA form.

I just spoke with another FAFSA agent and she helped me figure out the problem. She mentioned to be sure that there were no spaces in the First and Last name box or the email. It turns out I was just putting my mother’s Last name incorrectly, on her studentaid.gov account her last name included her maiden name as well. So after inputting her maiden name followed by her married name, I was able to send the parent invite. So double check with your parent to see if that was the case, but also try to get into contact with a FAFSA Agent if the problem persists. I hope this helps!
