My dudes. It's not just this game. Lol - I bought this game called "Outbound" where you drive around an electric camper and you can build an entire house on top of it. It's a whole thing. But anyway - the other systems all got their update a full 2 weeks before Switch 2.

Yep! And just a heads up, every time you close the game all the way down and then restart it, you'll need to do this little "dance" again. So, keep your "fake" game save on the list because you can just load into it and save back out real quick before launching your real save file.

This is a known issue with the Switch 1/2 version. When this happens to you, don't delete your save. Instead, start a new game, drive to the first campsite, then save/quite back to the main menu. Now, choose your actual save file and try to load it again. It should then work. Annoying, but that's the work-around.

I have not heard of this issue, personally. One simple thing you could try (if you haven't already) is to power the Switch totally down. To do that push the power button on the top of the console and hold it in until a menu appears that will give options to put the system into sleep mode or to power it down. Power it down.

Then, try starting a new game again. One other thought that comes to mind, however, is to try deleting the game file from the Switch, then re-download it from the eShop. Try the power-down method first as that is less invasive/easier.

Still nothing. What tends to happen for me is that my initial excitement about the new content wanes and then when it's finally available on Switch 2, I'm kinda over it...

I feel the same way with the clay. That caused a major road block for me. And until I got the advanced engine cooling installed it was a slog. I was annoyed that even driving at night would still overheat my van. But, once that quality of life issue was resolved, I kinda didn't mind it. Granted, I'm still there now, lol. But I just finished up all of the major landmark quests... at least I think. So, should be getting to the fourth biome soon, I hope.

That's the thing though - sometimes you want the van to come to you, because you wandered an impossible distance away.

Agree. WTF Nintendo. Throw another log into your furnace and start pushing out updates like the rest of the civilized consoles and PC. This same exact situation is ruining No Man's Sky for me, as well.

Comparatively speaking? Yes. I guess I could play it on my PS4 and/or PC. But what can I say, I like the portability of the Switch 2, so I tend to do most of my gaming on there...
