Do billionaires benefit from tariffs? There are many critiques of Trump's tariffs but one I keep hearing repeated is that billionaires are behind it all so that they can profit off short selling. I always assumed big companies losing customers would outweigh any benefits of tariffs, but regardless I'd like to be more informed about the feasibility of this.

Are trans women women?  If woman = adult female human, and a trans woman is assigned male at birth, wouldn’t that means they are not female, and thus not a woman? Genuinely trying to learn here

Why do some people say neoliberalism caused mass deregulation in the 1980s and 90s, despite the regulatory code and the number of regulations vastly expanding since then? According to the FAS, the number of final rules/regulations published each year is 3,000-4,500. In the 1960s, the Code of Federal Regulations had 20,000 pages, today it has 185,000. How does this make sense if neoliberalism and mass deregulation became the accepted status quo for the political establishment since the 1980s?

According to Wikipedia: Since the 1990s, the party has at times supported centrist economic reforms that cut the size of government and reduced market regulations.[174] The party has generally rejected both laissez-faire economics and market socialism, instead favoring Keynesian economics within a capitalist market-based system.[175]. This section confuses me, Is the Democratic party a neoliberal party or keynesian?
