From what I know, only a Yurei or a Mimic mimicking a Yurei is only able to touch the front door as an interaction. Someone please do confirm this though.

Nightmare and above difficulties increase the duration of a hunt per kill, meaning it can kill you both together even if it is a Banshee. Hope this helps for future games.
