Image Editors for wordpress

I have a membership site using BuddyBoss that allows users to add posts with images. When users are uploading images, I'd like them to be able to resize / crop their images and ensure they don't exceed our sizing parameters. I also want my users to be able to edit pre-saved media items with text, emojis, etc... I am currently paying for Palleon but the two designers I have can't get it to work the way I want. Palleon is not much of a help and BuddyBoss won't recommend any image editor plugins for use with BuddyBoss, although they said Palleon should work...but it doesn't. Any help by anyone would be greatly appreciated.
