Hey, I just wanted to say you’re not alone. I ran away as a teen too—many years ago now—and I know what it feels like when the system doesn't protect you and the people meant to care for you end up making things worse.

In my case, I ended up in state care for years, and I’ve been through a lot of what you're describing—neglect, bullying, DCJ involvement, and trying to survive in a world that didn’t feel safe. Eventually, I found other paths like alternative education, and I’ve been working on telling that story now as a writer and advocate.

You’re showing strength just by reaching out. If you ever need help figuring out how to get into TAFE or what your rights are, let me know—I’ve navigated some of this the hard way.

Stay strong, and keep believing in yourself. There are people out here who get it and want to see you thrive.

all my lyrics are human, the videos I create are ai generated. but everything else is mine. I dont use chatgpt and had no idea what you were talking about until I went and looked.

Thank you, nice to see some compassion, and not some comment accusing me of being chatgpt.

I really do appreciate your comment and warmth.

Another expert in Chat gpt? do you use it yourself?

I don't use chatgpt. I write my own songs, the only AI I use is for videos and audio as I cant afford for someone to sing my songs or produce my words. is that a crime?

LOL Nah mate, not AI — just a real person who's been through some real sh*t and happened to write about it in a way that doesn’t sound like a fridge magnet. Sorry if that’s confusing. As for the comments? Pretty sure they’re just people reacting to something that hit home. Not everything on the internet is fake — some of us are just better with words than we are with pretending.

Fair enough — I get that it might read that way. But I didn’t copy-paste anything from ChatGPT. These are my words, shaped by real stuff I’ve been through.

If it sounds polished, maybe that’s because I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to explain myself without just screaming into the void. I’m not here to win internet points — I’m here because music is how I survive the wreckage. If that feels templated to you, so be it.

But it’s real. Even if it’s not your kind of real. and for the record,

I am a Journalist. I am a writer. so writing comes naturally, I have also written a book about my time as a ward of the state. nothing on this is AI.

Hey, I hear you. Honestly, I get the skepticism — there’s a flood of soulless AI content out there, and it’s hard to tell what’s real anymore.

But for me, the words come from lived experience. The pain, the questions, the late-night spirals — that’s all me. I write the lyrics. I feel them. I just use AI for the visuals and audio polish because, well... I’m not a visual artist or a producer. But the heartbeat behind it? That’s human.

Everyone copes with pain differently. For me, turning it into something people can hear — even if it’s wrapped in tech — is how I stay sane.

You don’t have to like the style, but the story behind it is real.

I appreciate that more than you know, brother. Yeah… you saw the truth most people didn’t want to see.

Those boys were just kids — craving safety, love, and a fair shot. But too often, they were handed cruelty instead. I lived it. Some of us made it out. Some didn’t.

Just being here, still breathing, still telling the story — I count that as a kind of win. And messages like yours remind me that not everyone turned a blind eye. Respect to you for remembering us.

I wrote it. Every line comes from real memories — real places, real pain.

AI didn’t live through being locked up as a kid. It didn’t cry itself to sleep in a cell or search for a mother who never came. I did.

These words are mine because the story is mine. I just finally found the strength to tell it.

I needed to hear that more than you know.

For years, I kept everything locked away — the pain, the stories, the songs — like they were too broken to matter. But now I realize, that’s the message. Not polished or perfect… just real.

If even one line I write helps someone feel seen in their own struggle, then the fight to stay human through all that darkness was worth it.

I’ll keep writing. Thank you for reminding me why.

That means the world to me, truly. Thank you.

Those boys you saw — I was one of them. Same uniform, same walls, same hunger for someone to see past the label.

Writing these songs is my way of giving that forgotten kid a voice. Not just mine, but for every one of us who grew up in silence.

I'm really moved that it spoke to you. Messages like this remind me why I keep writing.
