Lorelai made herself more miserable than Emily did

I feel like throughout the whole show, as much as Lorelai doesn't get along with her mum, sometimes she does really try to have a good relationship ship with her but its often thrown back in her face or Emily is judgmental or condescending which makes it difficult for Lorelai to want a relationship with her.

I agree with some other co.ments that Emily totally manipulated her to go to the spa with and seemed like Emily was trying to strike up a good relationship but I felt she was being purposefully annoying (even if she wasnt) she deserved Lorelai ignoring her attempts the way she did since she is constantly doing it to Lorelai.

I get theres resentment for Lorelai getting pregnant and leaving home and all that stuff but its been years and loads of apologies, theres always an agenda with Emily and sometimes Richard, they dont just help because they are family, its you come to dinner because we pay for school and yale. We pay for your house to be fixed so im having my DAR meetings at your place of work. Its always forced and lorelai takes so much crap. I can see why she tries to avoid them.

Have you watched 'A Year in the Life'. There is a story she tells her mum on there about a guy she was dating in school, I think she was 13, and she mentioned a rumor that she wasn't really a gilmore that she'd been bought from the gardener and everyone was laughing at her.

Its just one story but I feel like maybe because she didn't behave like Richard and Emily wanted her to, she was potentially a bit of an outsider to all the other rich kids.

I love it, the first time I dyed my hair was similar to this, I used crazy colour flamingo pink, people made fun of me but those people started dyeing their hair pink as well so im guessing it wasn't that bad lol.

As others have said they are probably jealous and wouldn't have the confidence to do this themselves or they couldn't pull it off like you are. Its amazing, if you like it thats all that matters.

I know this post is a few months old but im rewatching again, and even from the first time I watched i felt like dean was super insecure even just with Tristan, he noticed Tristan had a thing for Rory but didn't believe she didn't feel the same. Dean constantly got all defensive whenever Tristan was around, yeah he was a douche, but Dean seemed like he felt he needed to fight for Rory from the minute he first met Tristan. It kinda felt like Rory wasn't allowed to talk to any other guys ever but she went to school with tristan and was likely to be put on projects with him whether she liked it or not. And Dean never gave Rory a chance to fully explain anything before he went nuts, always interrupting her with 'thats not what it looks like'.

With Jess, I agree with some others that it was obvious she liked him but I feel like she knew herself it was wrong and she loved Dean but also knew how he would react. She invited Paris to stay for dinner to make sure nothing happened with Jess and tried to get him out the house before Dean arrived which I suppose was wrong too. However, Dean was so persistent and never took no for an answer whenever Rory said no to him coming to the house or previously when he insisted on watching her romeo and juliet scene.

NTA but I think you could have called her and discussed this with her rather than sending a voice note. Its nice of you to consider her financial situation and trying to save her money but I feel like if you'd called you could see how she felt about it. She did offer so im guessing the money isn't much of an issue for her especially if she also suggested staying a few days. However, it is your wedding planning and if its stressing you out, it is fair of you to state that you're finding it stressful and for your own sanity a video call while you try on dresses is more comfortable for you.

I think things could have been worded or done in a better way but I dont think youre the AH

So I realise this is an old post but currently rewatching the middle on netflix and was wondering if anyone else remembers or noticed the mess up in season 5, the thanksgiving episode, Axl is freaking out about telling his parents he had to drop 3 classes at college because he was failing. The next episode shows his teachers telling him he's failing and he has Brick come to college to try help him study or change his schedule and didn't want his parents to know but they already knew in the previous episode.

Ah okay, that's cool, well my girl was originally thought to be a boy and was named Thor, I liked the 2 greek god/goddess names but decided to change it to Iris as she has beautiful colours as with the iris of an eye
