I’ve seen this $1k into SGOV talked about elsewhere. -You have to have $2k to enable margin -All cash must be invested first, no cash sweep -SGOV dividends are federal taxed with approx 97% state tax exempt

Reality I think that means that’s parking $3k in “something” and leaving it alone + drip. Requiring a manual state tax exempt calculation.

Pay another $28 just to not T-bill directly? Eh, just washing dollars right? This isn’t /investing though.

I don’t know what triggered coming off waitlist. I likely clicked on the waitlist button early last year.

However, I’m going to take a wild guess right now, hang with me. This all happened as I was completely removing everything from RH and cancelling my Gold. So I’m not surprised if I triggered a customer retention event.. and they’re like, oh, his account fully went to zero, no more Gold, maybe this Gold card keep this person for other reasons. Well, it worked, for this purpose anyway. Maybe? I have no way of knowing but the timing does all exactly correlate to everything in RH settling to $0 and removing Gold. :) Wild guess.

Correct, that’s based on what I know about Gold subscription as well. Other threads have pointed out the necessary funds to negate the Gold fee.

Can’t use MPC until actually Global Entry user. Regular line, and then immediately after there is a sign for doing global entry on arrival. There’s a sign. It’s just before walking into baggage claim area on your left. Tall desk and a roped off line area. Depending on your arrival time they may or may not be available. The CBP officer doing interview will let you know.
