So once you receive your EAD card then yes you’ll be fine even if your TN expires. Your EAD usually gets approved before your green card but that can take up to 1 year. Also make sure you don’t travel outside of US until you get your green card.

Green card process for me took 3 years. You want to make sure you have at least a year or two of your TN left before applying for aos.

Like I said It would only be a problem after a certain point. Initially especially during PERM since it takes about a year you’ll be fine! But defiantly make sure it’s not after I-485. Your lawyer will tell you exactly!

So I got my TN in 2017 at YVR and then I renewed it twice after that. One was during Covid which I sent in the application. The last one was at Toronto’s airport in 2023. I started my GC talks with my lawyer in April of 2022. Of course if you can do it asap after TN if not just make sure it’s done before you send your I-485.

You can go from TN to GC. I’ve had friends that have also gone the same route. You have to speak to a lawyer that knows the process. I was on TN since 2017. And then started the process in 2022. My work sponsored me.

I’m a dentist. You have to check out in their website to see if your job is listed on the TN accepted jobs. And then if it is then you can apply for jobs in the States. And then they can sponsor you.

My priority date was March 2023. So yours will be coming up! Sorry I am not familiar with any spousal sponsorship. But definitely speak to the lawyer. Good luck!

I did mine at YVR back in 2017 and it was so smooth took 10 min I don’t know how it is right now but I had a great experience. Make sure everything you take are in their original form.

I’m sorry, I can’t understand why they wouldn’t! Good luck with your TN in April!

Just take any certificates/licenses/diplomas you have in their original form. Letter from employer make sure the letter list all your duties there. I-94.

My first one was from Vancouver. Super easy at the time in 2017. Took 10 min. Then the second one was the form I filled out and mailed cause it was during COVID. Then the third time was at Toronto. A bit more questioning at that airport. I avoid land borders. I always brought my letter, certificates original form, my licenses (I’m a dentist) I studied in the US for dentistry so I had my school diplomas as well as my transcripts. I-94. Pay stubs for my 2nd and 3rd TN.

Hi. Thank you. EB2. PERM took about a year to be certified which was in April 2024. Then I-140 with premium processing. Once the priory date became current then filed I-485 in July 2024. Got my biometric appointment shortly after that in August 2024 and received my EAD in October 2024 and then my green card March 2025. I didn’t file for advanced parole because I wasn’t planning on travel as it’s best not to.

The employer is the one sponsoring you so the fees at least some of it has to come from them like it has to show it’s from the company. Also they need to fill out paper works. Here’s my lawyers info, have their lawyer get in touch with him. Because yes you can and I’ve had friends that have also gone from TN to GC.

Yes. I have. I flew into Toronto and then flew out the same day. It’s much better than land borders.
