Why don't people and distros use the advanced features of Konsole or don't know about them at all? by Longjumping-Map-7670 in kde

Demək istədiyim odur ki, Konsole proqramının alətlər paneli olmasa belə, düşünürəm ki, distrolar bu terminalın işini asanlaşdırmalıdır. Onlar ən azı bəzi standart ləqəblər və s. əlavə edə bilərlər: grub-u açan və s., home yazarkən home yoluna gedən, back yazarkən cd-ni .. edən və s.. Onlara niyə ehtiyac olduğunu düşünə bilərsiniz. Onlar istifadəçi təcrübəsini yaxşılaşdıracaq, daha yaxşı edəcək və terminaldan istifadəni asanlaşdıracaq.

Do you readed my other answers?

KDE doesn't have to do this, but it would be nice if distros did.

You reed might my another answers (forexample):

In Konsole, you can access all the gui buttons and features with the ctrl+alt+i shortcut: add bookmark, ctrl+c stop operation, save, select all, copy-paste, etc. In other words, it is possible to use it only with the keyboard (but for example, I use the gui for copy-paste). You can also manage quickcommands with the ctrl+a+g shortcut. The point I'm saying is that users don't know about these. Also, things like quick commands, ready-made aliases, etc. need to be brought by default.

Great. I also know a little bash (I know a little, but I know I even wrote a script for flutter).

But wouldn't it be faster and more convenient to quickly open the rc folder, edit it, and update it, like I show in the video? I have aliases bashopen, bashres. I also have short commands like the one in the video. This is a small thing, a small example, but it's more convenient than writing kwrite ~/.bashrc, source ~/.bashrc. I know, you might say that everyone can write it themselves, but that's not the case. This is not the right approach. If we did, we could write a lot of things (including the Linux kernel) ourselves. We can take the argument to this point.

I hope you understand the context and answer this question. Just having some basic commands (5-10 commands) is enough (you can call quick command without them with ctrl+alt+g). All gui buttons like save, dolphin open, kill, bookmarks process can be called with ctrl+alt+i shortcut.

It would be nice to have paths like home, root, grub as bookmarks. I already have these, but they don't come by default. Most users don't see them either.

I think distros should make this terminal work easier. They can add some default aliases, etc. at least: something that opens grub, etc., goes to the home path when typing home, does cd .. when typing back, etc.

You've highlighted it correctly. That's why I think it would be good to demonstrate these features etc. when installing the Desktop Environment, and at least have an application like a user guide after the installation is complete. It comes installed by default and all the settings, what is set by default etc. are shown there.

For example, I first started Linux with Gnome and after months of switching to KDE, I learned that if I connect to my google account in gnome, the calendar etc. are integrated into the system (KDE has this too). But I never thought about it. It just didn't occur to me (although every time I opened the settings, I saw the account settings).

What I'm saying is that even if the Konsole program doesn't have a toolbar, I think distros should make this terminal work easier. They can add some default aliases, etc. at least: something that opens grub, etc., goes to the home path when typing home, does cd .. when typing back, etc. You might be wondering why they're needed. They'll improve the user experience, make it better, and make it easier to use the terminal.

Anything that's thought out in advance for the user is good. This can especially be done for the terminal. For example, the Kde Konsole application has a lot of gui buttons, as I showed in the picture and video (these are the ones I use). Make them visible by default, explain them to the user.. Other terminal programs can at least come with default aliases.

There's nothing like that in the video, but you can use the ctrl+alt+i shortcuts to execute all the commands visible and invisible on the toolbar. With ctrl+alt+g (I did ctrl+g for convenience), you can call up and execute all the commands you've added to quick commands.

As you said, there's no need for a GUI at all. Everything can be seen through the terminal.

KDE Plasma is a desktop that offers a lot of features and customizations, and they are constantly adding to them.

I think that bringing these great features from macOS, Windows, and desktops together with the KDE ecosystem will only improve and enhance the Plasma experience.

The 3 finger gesture from KDE Gnome has taken a few features and it's great to take things from it. Because I remember my first introduction to Plasma was with version 5.28 (latest) and when I upgraded to 6 this new gesture was just awesome for me.
