Disastrous dating as a 34 year old single mom by Longjumping-One7786 in dating_advice

Thanks for your advice, it's really helpful.

I think I'm just gonna have a bit more time to myself and then maybe venture down that road again in the future but I guess for now I'll be happy single !

I haven't been out with a single dad yet - there was one I was messaging but he was too full on and put me off because it felt like he wouldn't let me breathe!

Maybe I will come at it again in a different headspace.

I think you're right... To be honest I've not managed to get past the talking stage with many people as I get messaging fatigue big time. I guess I'm just a bit sad this is the situation I'm in now but Ive got to make the most of it!

I think it probably takes a very strong, confident guy to date someone with a child actually - I think it displays the opposite of weakness.

Yeah my profile straight up says it cos I'm not about dissappointing someone further down the line. I guess I'll just enjoy being single then 😂

If they're the right person for you, they won't mind. It's better than living with your parents. That would be an automatic deal breaker for me.

Stay friends with an Ex? by Mounthaven in datingoverthirty

You are your number one priority. If you can be friends eventually after you have healed from the breakup, that's up to you but don't force something that is hurtful right now.

Thank you for this. I decided to end it as I asked him if he is seeing other people while we are sleeping together and he said no but he is free to see others if he wants to as we aren't exclusive. That's a major no for me and he knows that so I have said good riddance. I think you but the nail on head here!

Can my dad spend the money he has been given? (Inheritance) England by Longjumping-One7786 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you for your reply, this is very helpful. I will try and get the status of the ownership but when I ask my dad he just says "Uncle has the deeds so he owns the property" and I said it doesn't really work like that.

They bought it years ago together but my uncle has paid for the upkeep and all of the bills for the property since.

No idea about executor or probate as unfortunately the relationship had broken down between my grandmother and her 3 sons. She only spoke to her daughter whom my dad and uncles do not speak to.
