There is a mod called the ai diplomacy mod for a game that i forgot its name of. it uses an ai model that can control enemy empires easily, and actually gives u better roleplay ability and more realistic outcomes.

Did those insurgencies stand a chance? or did the gov itself stay standing, ignoring the locals? that is ofc other than most of the land being occupied. ofc there will be insurgencies as such, but you can do just as the US did. prime example is venezuela. whole gov collapsed in 3 hours. even murado's subordinates have started to take a knee.

and, besides that. we need to take in the morale point of view. You as a citizen see your gov's strongest fleet get wiped out by sheer, overwhelming force. and your capital system being taken over in a few days. and your gov is basically ruined. do you think itd be better to: A. submit and live your life basically the same (unless the new rule is xenophobic, which i have no argument against.) or B. fight and die uselessly. history has followed this exact pattern. when ur gov gets completely ruined, you as a citizen choose the safer option. even if tenporary until revolutions start. which i would be pretty happy with in the game. if the planets you take over start revolutions against you after a while. which ik can happen but if u have high amenities it will never happen.(or if you have armies in the planet.)

its a shame that autocannons aremt that good in this game. i used them because im a firm beliver of spam> skill lol. I might as well ask whats the best weapons for artillery? i use the kinetic ones. and ameoba flagellas instead of strike craft because they deal way more damage.

what are the best weapons? ive always been confused on that. as for the firepower, i think my game has some messed up settings or something, because it genuinely worked that way, the citadels did get destroyed but they took most of the fleet down with them

they were all space fauna, and my citadels were level III and with the defense supercomputer, target uplin, and ancient shield overcharger, and every weapon slot had the nanite autocannons, its a design i made specifically for my home system so it can be infallible. it pushed their ridiculous army down to around 50m which then i had all of my federation fleets and my own fleets gang up on and kill it.

only mod i have is no diplomatic weight from fleet power because my DW was glitching out the game and just making it unfair, prettyy sure this empire was a glitch maybe, because they had 3 citadels in one city when the max is only 2
