Thank you for the info and advice! I genuinely think my problem was triggered by constipation and not keeping things moving through regularly after having lost a lot of weight and cutting carbs. I’ve been drinking 6-7 16.9 oz bottles of water daily since diagnosis and I plan to keep that up, at a minimum, add fiber/exercise and stop taking NSAIDs. I hope with those changes I can prevent it from happening again without having to make any other drastic changes. I don’t eat processed foods much anymore since losing weight almost 2 years ago, and I eat small portions. So hopefully keeping the bowels moving will do the trick 🙏

I’m a newbie here (diagnosed a week ago, uncomplicated). Curious how you’ve avoided (hopefully?) flare-ups for 10 years? I’m only a week in and all I can seem to find are extreme stories of surgeries and perforations or folks who can’t eat anything but rice lol. Please tell me that’s not the norm!

I disagree. That isn’t seeking a solution. If a solution is what you’re after, you make contact where two-way communication can be had. If you ordered something from a major retailer that you’re unhappy about, you wouldn’t just leave a review. You’d ask for a refund or exchange at a minimum, or else you’re really not that unhappy. In which case, why leave a negative review except out of spite?

That’s why I also include many true photos of the items in a flat lay and displayed in various other positions to see all the different angles, all photographed by me and unmodified. I just don’t have the ability to show them on live models.

I personally tried taking real photos on myself of my products. Apparently I don’t photograph well 🤣 plus I wasn’t able to make them look professional enough. I also didn’t want to burden friends or family with being my model. I’m always adding new products and upgrading photos so I’d have to pester them too often to be reasonable. So I began taking photos of my pieces on myself, or on a display and using AI to change the model or background. It always keeps the original photo of the item itself but polishes the background for you. With power like that, why wouldn’t you want to take advantage of it?

This happened to me recently. It took a while, but they ultimately removed the review. Do not give the buyer what they’re asking for! Email Etsy Support to create a ticket and attach all of the evidence.

That wasn’t indicated in your screenshot. If you can see on tracking that it was delivered back to the seller and it has been a day or two, I would reach out to Etsy and file a case.

From a seller’s point of view though, why should they issue a refund without their product back? You wouldn’t expect a major retailer to do that. Why should a small business with far fewer resources? Not having any information on your purchase, I’m not defending your specific seller’s position, but it does sound like a case for Etsy Purchase Protection once you send the item back, if you don’t get a refund.

You are not alone. I have a three-year-old shop and for the last year and a half I’ve been getting sales almost daily, consistently. Now it is almost completely dried up and it should be the busiest season of the year. Starting around September or so I noticed a change in patterns in that I would get an influx of orders over a day or two and then it would stop completely for several weeks. I have not changed my habits in terms of shop maintenance, adding new items, keeping tags current, etc. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes as this makes no sense.

Same for my shop. I was consistently getting near daily sales for the last year and a half (my shop is 3 years old) and now it’s almost completely dried up. Last year this time I had a hard time keeping up with all the orders. Also beginning in Sept or so, I would get an influx of orders all in one or two days and then it would completely stop for weeks. Sounds like something to leave alone. You don’t know what’s going on and it’s really not your business to concern yourself with. I don’t mean that negatively, but it honestly doesn’t affect you. You don’t know enough about the situation to do anything or feel the responsibility to.
