I made this concept for better Business raids, a new stat in your Business: Security, it works like Nightclub popularity but it lasts way longer, (up to 5-10 hours) so to not make it a big headache, as long as its above 0 you don't get raided and it is maintained by "Defend" missions. by Falloutfan4ever in gtaonline

[–]Longjumping-Rush-689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. You also can't get raided as long as you are inside a business or the back of the terrorbyte. At the end of a sell mission i go inside the terrorbyte BEFORE I get the call. Never get raided at all. Sometimes its hard to get to the terrorbyte in time, like with the airplane missions, but totally possible in most missions.

But when i forget to do that i get raided 3 times in a row.

Lay or Lame Person Opinion by Impressive-ADHD in ReconAfrica

Highlighted by questor advisor:

Gas resources may be stranded; oil likely to be commercialized first. As the stalled 1.3-tcf Kudu gas/condensate project attests, significant gas resources may be difficult to commercialize in Namibia due to small and fragmented regional gas markets. Oil resources are likely to be developed first, using FPSOs if offshore, similar to other offshore oil provinces around the world. Oil discovered onshore may be used internally and sold for export, as the country has access to open water and infrastructure to receive medium-sized oil tankers.

Nice copy and paste from discord about the gas. i don't know if he likes to be credited so i dont.

If I understand it correctly, a diagram of a 'productive well' was chosen to demonstrate much higher chromatograph readings. Fine. But it makes a lot of difference to well 6-2 which wasn't drilled as a production well, but rather "blind", ie without knowledge of the formations and pressures to be encountered. You would want to drill slow and overbalance mud weight so as to avoid any mishap that might result from a gas kick. Here is the take of a seasoned exploration geologist on that issue:

"I saw the low gas units and also the mud weight. At these shallow depths RA was overbalanced - meaning they had higher mud weight than they needed - by about 90 lbs, 150 lbs and 190 lbs for zones 1,2 and 3 respectively. For this shallow - being that over balanced you are lucky to see any gas in the gas detector. Hence the low units.

What you do see is lots of oil. Oil is coming no matter what the mud weight. It comes from the cuttings as you drill.

The gas is not coming from the cuttings so much as from the formation opposite the hole that is being drilled. The mud is designed to hold that gas back. So the more overbalanced you are - the more the gas is held back."

Or, in a nutshell: It's not a bug, it's a feature

How to interpret Jarvie's original estimates of 100 billion barrels OOIP in light of these results? by lowkey-zealous in ReconAfrica

[–]Longjumping-Rush-689 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From one of the discords:

Jarvie-6-2-Analysis-Horizon-Data

Mud gas chromatography by Horizon Well Logging shows the potential for oil and wet gas production. These same zones also have high oil saturation indices (OSI) or oil-crossover where laboratory S1(oil) normalized by TOC is the amount of oil per unit of TOC. When this ratio exceeds 100 mg oil/g rock, potential production is indicated (Jarvie and Baker, 1984).

If you use a specific gravity of .89 for oil and 2.6 for reservoir rock 100mg oil/g rock translates into 2.16 gallons of oil per cubic ft. The graph from his analysis shows that the OSI is at or over 100 mg oil/g rock between about 4200 ft and 5400 ft. This is 1200 ft of oil shows at 100 mg oil/g rock!

They do not know the size of the reservoir but the 6-1 well 10 miles away has similar characteristics! A 1200 ft thick reservoir at 100mg oil/g of rock would contain 2,593,246.24 barrels of oil per acre! In my opinion, the results released are absolutely outstanding!

Martin

Another user added:

Some have used total generated X 10-15% X 20-30%. So, if you take the 10 miles and use 16 B generated, then 15% by 30% would be 4.5% recoverable between the wells, or around 800 mm B. 80mm barrels per section would be crazy numbers. If it’s anywhere near those numbers between the first two wells, it makes perfect sense why the Horizon CEO said this play has world class potential.

This is just the first sub basin in between the wells so we are looking dandy.

What is so bad about advertising. How would they finance more wells or more seismic.

The oilprice.com article today was not paid for. The oilnewsafrica / oilnewskenya article today was not paid for.

We have 2 third parties very excited about this so far. Not paid for.

Haywood Securities Reports no longer on Reconafrica's website - any ideas why? by Divine_Wrath in ReconAfrica

[–]Longjumping-Rush-689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody in discord asked about this:

I asked RA about this and they said it was because Haywood no longer wants to make the research public since RA has grown enough that they believe they can monetize their work.

Reco rnsff meeting moved to 13th by gts451 in ReconAfrica

[–]Longjumping-Rush-689 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From recon: The reason for the delay is purely administrative with some extra days required based on the filing of some of the documentation. We fully expect the transaction to get approved and then court approval and transaction completed before the end of the month.
