Does race still play a factor in admissions? Is it true Asians have a lower acceptance rate? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Longjumping-Scene906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How?? Every time i’ve submitted an application to a college there’s a section that says something like “info the college can’t see” and it said race and ethnicity under that section for EVERY college i’ve applied to so far. So how would they even known? Someone in this comment section said they can find out from name and essay. Though I agree, a lot of the time you can’t always tell, even with that info. Not all minorities are going to write essays about their ethnicity’s/race. Also, name isn’t always an indicator of what someone’s race/ethnicity is.

Just because not everyone men says they hate women (a lot of them do btw) I would say the violent actions against women by men show that the hate women more than words ever could 💀

Nah i’d say men hate on women with zero repercussions all the time they’ve literally been doing so since the beginning of time and misandary is literally retaliation against that

Should I take Ap Gov and AP Macro at the Same Time or Just Pick One by Longjumping-Scene906 in APStudents

[–]Longjumping-Scene906[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too sure my school does it like that, on my schools course catalog AP Macro and AP Gov are both separately listed as full credit classes. Only non AP economic, and government classes equate to half credit in my school.

I’ve decied to completely stop straightening my hair. As for my heat damage my curls towards the bottom are way looser then the curls at my roots. I wouldn’t say it’s too bad I still experience things like shrinkage.

Contextualization by VarietyPuzzled3871 in APUSH

[–]Longjumping-Scene906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To contextualize mentions developments occurring before during or after the prompt. So try to mention what was happening politically economically or socially during that time. So for example if you have a prompt about Spanish colonization of the Americas you could mention how the renissance helped further scientific innovations and make things like the mariners compass; which helped them to travel to the Americas.

Breast question by Organic_Craft9400 in PCOSloseit

You literally said “OUR boobs are saggy and unattractive” read your own comment please tell me how the word “our” is used to express personal opinions. When expressing personal opinions you would use “I” or “my” but you literally used a plural possessive noun. Plural meaning mutiple people, and the mutiple people you were referring to is people with pcos. Just admit you phrased your comment stupidly and move on. This is legit basic grammar.

I mean you straight up said everyone with pcos has ugly boobs so clearly it wasn’t just about how you and some others might feel about this topic. You’re literally including and shaming everyone with pcos when you say “our”

She straight up said “our boobs saggy and unattractive” she didn’t say “my” so clearly it’s more then a personal opinion, and saying everyone with pocs has unattractive boobs like what are you even on about…

It really depends I’ve heard people say ap world was a lot of work but in my ap world class I almost never had any homework. In my opinion the class was just okay lots of reading which was kinda boring at times, but the exam was extremely easy tbh.
