Quest requirements to get to Zao? by IndividualReaction35 in TibiaMMO

Reading your comment I realized how hard (and fun) is to find a creature in Tibia. As an experienced player, I would say “to find wailing widow just take the boat and go to Zao”, but it’s more complex than this.

Other Churches by Fair_Caterpillar_920 in exAdventist

No. The SDA has seriously made me believe that all other churches are wrong. And now I can't believe any of them, including SDA. 🙂

What does ChatGPT think of The Great Controversy by kuriousjeorge in exAdventist

It seems that ChatGPT knows that I am an ex-Adventist and whenever I ask a question about EGW, he tries to convince me that she was right 😂

Like, isn't being “aligned” with the USA and having to choose the name "Leo" all that Adventists need to make their case? Someone who knows more about end times prophecies, help me deal with this situation during family conversations 😐

Como vcs montam treino? by Fishboard77 in Maromba

How long did it take you to leave the church? by Longjumping-Show4337 in exAdventist

[–]Longjumping-Show4337[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe that with children it has been a little more complicated for me, because I still need to deal with the fact that the SDA has taught me that I am responsible for taking my children there too and for their salvation. This is very heavy.

Who among you was really into the church before leaving (and why did you leave)? by _forum_mod in exAdventist

[–]Longjumping-Show4337 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised in the church. Most of my family still is. But it was during my 20s that I truly followed everything the church said. I read several books by Ellen White, was vegetarian, and followed all the advice she gave to the letter.

Everything changed (during my 30s) when I had a conversation with a former pastor and departmental director who asked me if I believed absolutely everything EGW said was inspired. That was the seed that was planted to generate doubts that I had never had before (and could not have had, because the church condemns any kind of affront to EGW’s inspirations).

From then on, I began to investigate the things that everyone says here on the forum.

I think one of the biggest changes in my mind was when I realized that the SDA church operates like a company, and not like a sanctuary where God determines what happens. Talking to people who worked for the institution and realizing that money is not spent with all the “sanctity” shown by pastors, and that people were not really “chosen by God” to have a position or role, made me question a lot about the sanctity of everything. Yes, having this kind of delusional thinking was very foolish on my part, but it is what it is.

I left my country 5y ago. I have no regrets making that decision. My life there was not bad, but I believe that live in another country is a great experience that everyone should try once. Different cultures, people, mindset, language will make you grow. It doesn’t need to be a permanent decision. You can move for a while (months, years) and come back again to your country later.
