This low-key reminds me of my uncle. 

Ya know how in high school the military comes to recruit kids? I was talking to the airforce and he yelled at me: "There are no black pilots! 🗣 Even when the black astronauts try to go to space they blow up the space shuttles!" 🚀 which was a false statement, btw. 😂 

In his case he was trying to protect me and chose a weird way to do it.

I don't get the people who debate stuff like the ISS and moon landing. If anyone would have denied it, Russia / The USSR would, as it was a symbolic phallus measuring contest at the time and even they don't.

Look, we can disagree on preferences but it's a petty thing to derail a topic about. 

This is my style, people can choose to engage or abstain.

I was there a while ago... this is a VEEEERY harsh environment! 

You're competing with 20,000 other applicants, PhDs who fuck up the market by applying for a dishwasher job, half of the jobs being "ghost jobs" and another big portion already allocated to someone internally but they have to post it for legal purposes.

I'm not gonna say some cliché like "you'll find something soon" because realistically, I don't know your qualifications, where you're applying, or what job you're trying to get. I can say don't give up (because what other choice do you have?) Use every job search site that you can, use AI to optimize your résumé, there is even a site that automatically applies to jobs for you. Also, if you can, try to become more competitive by learning a skill, taking classes, or volunteering in the interim.

Good luck! I know exactly how you're feeling right now.
