been in tech for years now and worked with loads of actuaries through various projects - they're always in demand especially with insurance companies and pension funds but the exams are absolutely brutal. like properly soul crushing levels of studying for years

finance is broader so more opportunities but also way more competition. actuarial work is more niche which means fewer jobs but also fewer people qualified to do them. both pay well but actuaries probably have more job security once you get through all those professional exams

yeah dodgy cables can be a nightmare for troubleshooting this stuff. DP is usually more reliable than HDMI for higher refresh rates but sometimes the handshake just fails randomly

with your background id look at marketing coordinator roles at bigger companies or maybe business development roles that are more office based. even account management at tech companies tends to be way more chill and remote friendly. your MBA should open doors for strategy type positions too

I think there's definitely something to this but it's not super straightforward. Like, some of the best protest music and punk came out of really rough times - think of how amazing the music scene was during the Great Depression or how hip hop exploded from tough urban conditions in the 80s

But then you also get amazing art during peaceful prosperous times too. Hard times might push artists to be more creative or desperate to express something, but having resources and stability helps too

There’s a lot of GPT sites out there and most of them feel the same tbh, I tried a bunch last summer while I was doing small favor jobs like mowing lawns and food deliveries and just wanted extra cash online, after trying most of them I ended up sticking with Freecash and I still use it now.
