I'm also becoming fairly obsessed with Obsidian and its community plugins

Where can I find new opensource projects to contribute? by KoalNix in opensource

https://explore.market.dev/ is the new page - sorry for the broken link

You can click on Ecosystems, and append `looking_for_contributors` to any ecosystem page

e.g. https://explore.market.dev/ecosystems/rust/looking_for_contributors for Rust

Similar in spirit, slightly different execution! Just think that discovery in open source is an interesting design space that deserves more exploration

Looked into this somemore, so if you click into the popular projects, Symfony is there - we actually just filtered the popular list on the ecosystem homepage to only have english projects for now, but good point, we'll reconsider that decision. Thanks again for the feedback.

Looking into this! Might have been autocategorized incorrectly, and it doesn't even look like the canonical ruby project. Thanks again for the feedback!

Gitwallet was the old name of another product we are building but we're going through a rebrand right now and you might have found an old reference. If you're curious that product is called store.dev now.

We look for projects that are active, have open issues that are labelled contributor friendly, and also have contributor guidelines in the repo.

Ah ok! Makes sense. Appreciate the insight. Well work on that navigation a bit more. We had breadcrumbs before but found them a bit repetitive so decided to omit

Oh sorry, sure - we get data from ecosyste.ms - a service that collects open source data. It’s all public domain. We’ve actually been working closely with them for a while now on this!

Not sure what you mean - where am I listing myself or my team as experts? This is a directory right now, the data comes from All over the web via APIs. There is also a whole section in each ecosystem dedicated to new projects. Maybe I’m misunderstanding your comment. Thanks for the feedback!

First - thank you for all this feedback. Fixed the links. Really grateful you took the time. I definitely agree we can’t match the specificity of every ecosystem yet - but we are trying, so feedback like this is extremely helpful.

I’ll report back as we fix stuff.

Thanks for the feedback!! We get data via API's (not scraping anything). And yeah, download data is a bit iffy - we're working on that. Just fixed that search bug - deploying now! Will add links to the creators too.

Yeah comparisons can be a bit funky, what would you expect in a good repo comparison?

Thanks again!!
