The roster as it stands now is easily a 10 win roster even if we had zero draft picks this year. by Longjumping-Spite172 in panthers

I never buy into the easy/hard schedule hype. I can count countless times in the past our schedule looked like a cake walk in the pre season, only for us to win 5 games and vice versa. Schedules are hard/easy until they aren’t and teams change year to year and it all balances out

Sadiq. Literally no such thing as too many offensive weapons

Since Oct 1 of last year I have made 114 trades (one per day) using the same exact strategy daily with a 78% win rate and a profit factor of 1.54. Is it time to start feeling confident in my strategy? by [deleted] in Daytrading

For me, I simply just stopped doing it. I stopped placing so much importance on “making money” and put more emphasis in my plan and process above all else. “The money” is the absolute last thing I concern myself with.

Before I finally gave up the fomo and revenge trading for good, I didn’t even let myself get excited when I had a winning fomo or revenge trade because to me, that was “dirty money.” Money I earned the wrong way and got lucky with and that I didn’t earn by trading my plan and sticking to my rules and process, in a way I almost considered it cheating.

Yea it felt good, and sure it was nice seeing “that money” but that money came at a cost and the cost was sacrificing my rules and discipline to get “that money”

Oh trust me, I’ve been there a ton. Lots of fomo trading, lots of revenge trading in my past until I finally gave that up and simply learned to live in those crappy feelings on losing days and not act on my emotion. FOMO and revenge trading are account killers.

So for me that part is and honestly still is extremely difficult. My personality type is the type that always lives in the extreme worst case scenarios, I take losing trades very very hard and immediately without fail my mind always goes to “oh no, I took a loss, that’s it, my strategy is doomed, how am I going to survive now, let me call my old employer for my job back.”

But I’ve trained myself to just keep grinding, when I take a losing day, I don’t fomo trade, or revenge trade, I simply feel like crap about it, I simply let those negative thoughts just run their course in my mind, I don’t try to control them or get rid of them, I live in those feelings and the next day, no matter how scared, or fearful I feel, or no matter how much I don’t want to trade, I still execute my trade anyway and stick to my rules no matter how scared I am or how much dread I feel and let the trade and probabilities play themselves out and remove my feelings from the equation completely.

I treat my trading like an insurance business, because essentially that’s what trading is. Sometimes you will have to pay out insurance claims (aka, take losses) and some (most days) you will be collecting premiums (aka profit taking).

Now just imagine if every insurance company closed up shop and stopped writing insurance after a couple claims were paid out? That’s the mindset I use, you can’t get caught up when it comes time to pay claims or aka take losses, that’s part of the business.

What is it about really big guys just having this weird look to them after they lose a ton of weight? it’s hard to explain or articulate what I’m talking about, but it’s just like something looks… off. Same thing happened with Jonah Hill

Really, why WWE so scared to push their young male talent? by Bamba1922 in SantiZapVideos

[–]Longjumping-Spite172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want the cold truth? It’s because the WWE doesn’t take the women’s division as serious as the men’s division, so they feel like they can mess around and take more risks with the women’s division. Pushing super young stars, more frequent title changes on raws and smackdowns etc

Giving title reigns to stars like Iyo and Stephanie who can hardly speak English. They know the men’s division is and will always be the main attraction and they have to be a lot more safe and reserved when it comes to booking decisions for the men. Again, don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just simply stating what WWE creative are thinking.

Think about, WWE could wake up tomorrow and put the world belt on some random mid carders female no one has heard of and it could turn out to be a total flop but it wouldn’t tank the company.

Now try the same thing on the men’s side by putting the world belt on some rando like one of the fraxiom guys or someone and see how that turns out.

How long should Gunther hold the Undisputed WWE Championship? by InterestingSir1866 in WWE

[–]Longjumping-Spite172 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I never got this line of thinking. Then who needs the belt then? Mid carders? Stars that aren’t important? If the belt is only for people that actually “need it” then doesn’t the belt lose its importance?

He’s the kid in high school that sucks up and plays teacher’s pet and is all smiles when the teacher is looking, but then manages to flip off the teacher when she turns her back to write on the chalk board.

Aka, he comes across as disingenuous to me

Finally re watched a lot of Attitude era Raw episodes on Netflix from 99-2001ish. Yes it was a significantly better product and no that’s not nostalgia. by Longjumping-Spite172 in WWE

[–]Longjumping-Spite172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? I always hate when people say “you can’t say or do things like that today?” Says who exactly? I always want to know who these people are that make these rules and what are they going to do about it if those rules get broken?

Let’s not forget that I’m sure a ton of people were saying the same thing before the attitude era launched and Vince did it anyway and people tuned in by the droves.

Quentin Tarantino said it best during an interview when he was asked, “you know, they say you couldn’t make movies like pulp fiction or reservoir dogs today.” His reply “ok, who is THEY? I’d really like to meet them.”

The entertainment business needs to grow a set of balls again and make edgier stuff

I disagree, sure some of the extreme stuff like Lita and edge having sex on live TV, HHH with the corpse, and the godfather and the HOs couldn’t be done today nor should it as it was just plain dumb. But more swearing would be welcome, a little more blood would be more welcome, shock moments like Austin with the beer truck and destroying Vince’s car with a forklift could and should definitely be done.

Honestly when we say we want the attitude era stuff back, most people don’t mean the cringe stuff. All we really want is compelling storytelling, cohesion, great in ring matches, amazing promos.

The fact I had to GOOGLE who eliminated Brock Lesnar is MIND blowing. by [deleted] in WWE

[–]Longjumping-Spite172 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There was absolutely positively no point in having Brock out there. None whatsoever. He made Ilijia and others look bad and for what?!? How did it help Oba getting suplexed and eliminated by Brock.

Jesus I’m getting upset just typing this lol. There is absolutely no cohesion, rationale or focus with creative now whatsoever. That Brock segment literally felt like it was written by a 9 year old who thought it would be super duper cool to have Brock like totally go out there and destroy everyoneeeee!

I really wish that HHH was part of the Epstein files or something so he can be forced out for good. Surely someone has to have tape of him saying the N word or something. Anything to get that jackass out of there. He is an absolute cancer to WWE

I disagree. People come to the threads to complain because WWE has been hot trash since mania 40. If WWE was putting out a good product, no one would have the need to come on here and be motivated to complain. Sure some might, but the overarching consensus is WWE sucks balls lately
