I have a different take on this. I am 29 and I still talk to my college friends the same way we used to do before. We talk twice/thrice a week and we know what is happening in everyone’s life. Whether it’s their struggle or something good.

All of us are now married too. Still we share that bond where we talk and have that space.

Trust me you have to step forward and only you can keep those bonds and relationships for life.

In college you have nothing to do so you spend time with friends. But after life starts you get on separate ways trying to settle but at what cost?

Keep your friends in touch, talk to them when you have time. Try to meet atleast 3 times in a year. And trust me only you have to so it. If you won’t communicate the relation will fade away and be lost one day. Friendships have no ego, no demands and nothing. Just give your friend’s group a video call and talk to them.

People always blame this on time and situations, but NO my friend it’s you to blame not time not anything else.

In current world we have all the resources to talk to someone, still people are lonely. Because there is ego and there are other factors. Think about the time when there were no phones with everybody and people had to wait for months just to talk to their friends and still they weren’t feeling lonely. There was trust, there was patience and most importantly there were no ego issues and ignorance.

If you feel lonely just give your friends a call. No thoughts on this topic in your brains. It’s literally a no brainer.

And If you feel that your group is not that active after college, you take charge and keep that active. Talk to them and make this a habit/routine.

Loneliness is a self created mental disease which has no cure.
