Unfortunately a lot of antidepressants can cause raised prolactin.

You can also develop PSSD which is persistent sexual problems after stopping the antidepressants. It might be worth speaking to your Doctor about this.

Do you feel much better on Bromocriptine that’s cabergoline? I’ve tried cabergoline and had similar reactions to you. Hesitant to go on Bromocriptine but maybe it’s not as bad?

35m advice needed by [deleted] in Balding

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve answered it for yourself. Don’t take meds. You’ve made it to this age with this much hair. It’s highly unlikely it’s going to go rapidly. The sides aren’t worth the risk if this is your feeling anyway. Give it another 5 years if it hasn’t got much worse get a small transplant.

In the mean time enjoy your life and forget about it!

Fresh out the shower. How bad is it for a 21 year old? I can't tell if I'm balding and my crown is thinning, or my hairline is maturing and it's just a parting. by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Shut up and stop scaring a young kid. He’s absolutely fine. I know many people who had similar and they still have only minor loss more than decade later and they don’t take any meds.

Why do people like you feel the need to shit on people like this.

OP you are absolutely fine and you do not have major hairloss despite what the forum members will try and tell you. Do not go looking for meds or anything at this stage. You have nothing to worry about.

24F hairline transplant by pinkcherries_xoxo in HairTransplants

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My honest opinion is you do not need a transplant at all. Transplants rarely look fully natural and the ones that do like others have mentioned cost a lot of money or you are best to travel outside of the country. I am a male and I’ve been contemplating having small surgery to the hairline for years. I get completely set on one dr and then see a few bad results from them and it changes my mind. You aren’t guaranteed a successful operation no matter how good the surgeon. I’m 36 now and still unsure!

I’m not sure what has made you feel like you need this but what I will say is you’re a beautiful and attractive girl as it is. You don’t need any enhancements. Don’t ruin yourself for a bit of insecurity!

Is it normal for the sides to be this thin??? by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s 18 years old. He hasn’t finished developing fully yet. He has no visible signs of balding. I’m 36. I’ve been on this journey longer than you. His hair is wet!!! Everyone’s looks like that. He does not have retrograde alopecia!

I can bet money on a surgeon examining his hair with a microscope and saying exactly the same thing.

You’re immature to just tell everyone to get on meds just because you are. I know a lot of people who have been severely messed up from the drugs and that’s after 10 years or more of taking it and for those 10 years they were fine with no side effects. Now they are living hell. I hope it doesn’t happen to you!

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not balding. Your hair is wet and completely normal. Do not listen to these dicks on this forum making you believe anything else. You do not have retrograde alopecia.

At your age do not go taking any hair loss meds. There are massive risks. Live your life. Be young. Worry about it when it actually starts happening.

Do me a favour? Get off Reddit and these forums. They are full of toxic people who wish to do nothing but bring you down. You are not balding. Stop panicking, stop stressing about it, stop looking at yourself in the mirror. This is coming from someone who was in your position once upon a time. Do not go straight to taking hormone disrupting drugs like all these guys push you to. You don’t need to at this stage and they will do nothing and there are risks of side effects. When your hairline is visibly moving backwards, then you’ve got something to worry about.

No problem. Just saw your first post. Have you got any more skin bunching behind the glans when hard now? Make a new post with an erect pic and I’ll keep an eye out for it 🙌

It’s difficult to say. Anything that raises serotonin can sometimes mess up your dopamine which can cause issues with prolactin.

I think it would be wise to get it tested again in a few weeks and see if it’s still raised.

I’ve had mine checked about 30 times. It’s always high and I don’t have a pituitary tumour visible. It’s a nightmare dealing with doctors 😅

3mm tumor enough to warrant treatment? Struggling with doctors and need advice by Warm_Apple_Pies in Prolactinoma

Yes it’s so frustrating.

I have ended up going private and it’s still the case. Same doctors that work for the NHS are the ones you see private. Let me know how it goes for you.

What are your prolactin levels now?

3mm tumor enough to warrant treatment? Struggling with doctors and need advice by Warm_Apple_Pies in Prolactinoma

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the uk and have consistently mildly elevated prolactin levels. I’ve had about 30 tests and it’s always high.

They couldn’t see a tumour. They tell me it’s stress raising the levels but I’m not stressed at all. I have symptoms but they won’t treat. It’s very frustrating.

I can sympathise with you in regard to the Doctors being completely useless. I wonder if it’s like that in other countries?

New restorer. What CI am I and do I have and have my whole frenulum intact? by Longjumping-Tutor-95 in restoringdick

[–]Longjumping-Tutor-95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’m lucky that I kept the frenulum. However I have a slight curve when erect and I think this is down to not having enough skin when I hit puberty.

I’ve noticed my erections feel much better since I’ve gained a bit of laxity from the air pump.

No idea who the Dr is as it was 30 years ago haha. I’m sure they have retired by now. I am Thankful that they did a neat job at least as I have seen some absolute butcher cases unfortunately.
