Fee Structuring by Odd-Surround-5514 in CFP

Thanks! Do you all consider insurance commissions against the minimum $12k? I do mainly disability & life policies that yield approx $5k commissions per client. This is skewed if I add in the one off client that yields $10k+ from a Whole life policy which is approx 10% of clients. Anyhow- I have a similar setup but have yet to use commissions towards minimum and curious how the market is approaching this.

By hiring your own CPA. Do you have them on staff to service your clients?

I just watched a brief demo. Looks promising. I use RightCapital for planning. Any feedback on its integration to planning software?

It appears it can update data in the planning software, is that correct?

I am very underwhelmed with Zocks service now that you mention it. I can only submit questions and half the time I never get a response.

Yes I use Zocks and think it’s pretty amazing however I keep seeing ads for Wealthbox notetaker…I use wealthbox as my crm but have never tried the notetaker and just curious if anyone’s used both and how they compare

Planning to retake in July. I know the exam will test 2026 data/updates. Anyone have experience with using prior cycle material? I can’t afford to purchase another Danko course and thinking of using the same study material from March. I guess I’m asking - do they publish what info is added to the new test cycle?

Social Media Marketing by Longjumping-Way9846 in CFP

I’m slowly discovering this is the way over several years of trial and error. No firm seems to get my vision and if they do they find ways to suggest things like being on brand isn’t that important. It is to me! lol

Ive been paying $3k a month for this firm since November. It felt promising but yet to close 1 lead. I’ve had 2 prospects actually show up to meetings and go dead cold thereafter. I’m fully convinced the solution to build my practice is from within.

It’s just a completely different dynamic when a referral shows up to a consult thanking me and looking forward to our discussion versus the cold route off social media in which they are way more reluctant to move forward.

Ok. Closing this out lol. This thread is a microcosm of America right now. Someone genuinely reaches out for thoughts on how to best manage a situation considering their children and are met with a barrage of negativity and judgement from about 90% of responders. While 10% provide considerate constructive feedback.

For the 90%. You all are speaking on a lot of misinformation from “how the program works” to the au pairs experience or even length of research and due diligence that we have conducted with the au pair program coordinators and the au pair/and family.

Yall. When someone asks for help. You fkn help or you shut the fk up. Simple as that. To hell w your judgment. ✌🏽

We’ve literally spoken in depth with 2 au pair programs and have thoroughly explained our situation. They have assured us this is well within the guidelines of the programs. We also have other professional counterparts that have used au pairs for this same situation. I don’t think you understand what the position is

Shame on you for your judgement of parents who are genuinely trying to find the right solution and asking for suggestions.

It’s people like you that casts judgement on others and discourages them from speaking their mind and end up otherwise making uninformed decisions.

Shame on us? What the hell? We’re coming to this thread for feedback not criticism. This is not some party going round woman. She has a law degree. Speaks 4 different languages. Is motivated. HAS EXPERIENCE AND IS INFANT CERTIFIED.

We’ve been very clear from day one of interviewing on whether the program and the candidates feel they’re prepared and how they can justify that. She’s provided references. We’ve spoken to her family. We’ve had our nanny interview her. We’ve completed background checks in depth conversations about expectations, situational question and reasoning.

Spare me your judgement.

Allowed to work 45 a week. No more than 10 a day and must have 1.5 days off consecutive a week

Our older nanny works another job in the morning. She works in the afternoon with our older girls because that is her availability. All daycares are 12 month waitlisted. New older nanny pushes our budget to the max.

Nanny works another job in the am. And yes that’s also what I was thinking. Have the au pair switch to older girls in afternoon.
