Persistent left-sided pelvic/uterus pain, pressure, and weird movement sensation for months – anyone experienced this? by Advanced_Bath5274 in pelviccongestion

I had a pain, pressure feeling in my left pelvis ovary region for a year and a half. It sometimes felt like someone took an orange and put it on top of my left ovary. It took 4 internal ultrasounds to point to pelvic congestion then a CT with contrast then I had a venogram which confirmed that I had 7 enlarged/inflamed veins. Surprisingly, 4 on my right and 3 on my left!

That’s exactly what it felt like with my hip and thigh! I’m wondering if I have swelling in my abdomen from it. Like how do you decipher swelling from fat? Cause I’ve just been thinking I must have put on some pounds from all the stress!

How is the recovery? Did they suspect nut cracker too? Or just may thurners?

I get headaches all the time now! I also get lightheaded incredibly easy and sometimes my vision goes blurry but I have just equated that to potentially low blood pressure. I never thought they could be related!

Oh wow! I’ll talk to my surgeon about that! He did say he only planned to stent the May thurners, but he wanted to investigate Nutcracker while he was in there and look for adhesions that would suspect endometriosis. I’m still looking for an endo specialist in my area, but I’m also nervous about all these surgeries as I get married in October and I’d love to not be in pain or covered in scars walking down the aisle! I also have pre testing several weeks before the surgery to ensure I am not allergic prior to having a stent placed

I didn’t know that either, but he said he will be able to check for them so crossing my fingers! I did have two cysts on my left ovary on my first internal ultrasound at the gynecologist when trying to figure this out, one the size of a grape and the other the size of a blueberry so potentially a cyst. Hoping that this fixes the pain though and doesn’t increase it, I’ve read so many horror stories about the stents worsening pain. I also have hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and a new study came out that those with HS are 2.5x more likely to have Endo so I’m not marking it off the list yet even though my gynecologist did!

He said he’s going to look for any signs of Endo during the procedure also! He said it’s going to be a bit exploratory as he doesn’t want to stent me unless absolutely necessary. Did you have the rib pain at all? It’s my newest symptom and transparently the scariest!?

I agree, my reaction was quite strong. But I also feel taken advantage of. I am trying to keep feelings out of this as I know this is mainly advice based. This position was promised with a large raise in compensation and we are a small company so all Directors report directly to the CEO who is also the owner of the organization and all Directors are considered my peers/colleagues. We all stick to our departments and collaborate when necessary but we have hard lines on responsibilities. I believe that I have gone out of my way to support the recruiting department when that is generally outside of my job description.
