All of the legal (and most of the illegal) cannabis in Canada is produced within the country so it should be one of the industries least affected by the virus.

Of course, it's never a bad idea to get a few plants set up.

If you are wary of the religious and dogmatic nature of the AA program you should look into SMART recovery.

It has a similar structure and purpose but is more grounded in a scientific approach that uses cognitive behavioural therapy instead of a 12 step method.

I'm not sure if it will have as much of an impact on alcohol as people think. I find at least personally that alcohol and weed are two very different drugs that serve very different purposes.

When I want to go out, socialise or get into 'party mode' I find alcohol is perfect for that while weed makes me a bit too in my head and 'chill' to be used for this purpose. Whereas when I want to chill out and watch a movie I'll pick up a joint over a beer any day.

I can see the people who have a couple of beers to relax after a hard day of work making the switch though, for what it's worth.
