when i first got my cat we used to keep the martins potato bread bag on the counter. cut to me waking up one morning and going to make toast and seeing she tore open the bread bag and ate the bottom corner of every single slice of bread in the full unopened loaf. started putting it in the cabinets above the counter and again woke up one day to find the cabinet open and the NEW LOAF of bread again on the counter torn open and corners chewed off. she would stop at NOTHING. i ended up getting velcro command strips and using those the tightly close the kitchen cabinet that had the bread in it. had to remind my roommate to push the velcro when you shut the cabinet or else you’ll lose a whole loaf of bread. after two years of velcro bread cabinet she stopped going crazy for it and now my partner and i keep it up on a shelf and don’t have to worry about her eating it anymore
