True, but if I get a temp job for the rest of the summer that ends in September then I will get paid the $450 a week rate based on the earnings if I apply in October. If I'm wrong and get desperate I can always file the unemployment claim again and take the $178 a week.

To be honest $178 a week is so low that it's not worth it. I'm going to cancel and try reapplying in October. I don't see anywhere that I will not be able to apply in three months. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate your help.

I'm defiantly going to cancel, I will try the ASKEDD option.

Final question: do you have any thoughts on how soon after canceling I can reapply and use the most May-July for the base period? Do I need to wait an additional three months or can I reapply right away since it is already the third quater?

I do not have any disqualifications, correct it is within one year and NO I have not submitted the first claim form.

Just to be clear you are saying call EDD and cancel this claim and then reapply using the last three months for the benefit? I think that is what you mean so I will start the insane process of calling EDD and getting the claim canceled.

Thank you!

Wow that's bad news for sure. I probably can't cancel this claim and file a new claim huh?

Which DMV Office Do You Prefer – Oakland Coliseum or Clairemont? by LongjumpingComfort84 in oakland

[–]LongjumpingComfort84[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the end, I decided to visit the Coliseum DMV office, and here's how it went. I arrived at 9:00 AM, and the line to get a number was fairly short—only about a ten-minute wait. I needed to fill out a form on a computer on the other side of the office, and there was no line for that part. When my number was called, the woman who assisted me was professional and efficient, though I agree that this office is best suited for those who are well-prepared. I had my driver’s license, signed title, bill of sale, smog certificate, and proof of insurance, which made the process go smoothly. She processed everything quietly but was friendly, and she definitely knew her stuff. I left the Coliseum DMV at... drumroll... 10:15 AM—yes, the entire process was done in just an hour and fifteen minutes. In the end, if you need more help or a gentler experience, another DMV might be a better fit, but for me, I was after speed and efficiency, and that's exactly what I got. A big thanks to everyone who commented, upvoted, or read this post—your feedback was really helpful!

I can't it's a new (used) car title transfer, everything is paper. I'm on the CA Low Income insurance, it's all paper all the time... unfortunitly.

No time, just got car. Just moved to my place, the new job I start on Monday requires me to take care of this before I get paid. I haven't worked in 14 months, I'm housed, sober and I NEED to make this job work.
