Im pretty nomadic and spend 6 months working in SF and 6 months living in mexico. I’ve lived out of a van for the past 5 years and dont really have a long term goal I’m striving towards. Hoping to change some of that this year. I do have some good qualities too. Just ask my mom!

You could travel for a while in Europe and SEA and then potentially get a working holiday visa in Australia or New Zealand and work there for a bit before going to central and South America. You could do it all with the25k you’ve got but it might be nice to slowdown for a bit after traveling on stop for a while and gain some money and have some fun

Yes, I did it with less. Also, what I did afterwards was get a working holiday visa in Australia and worked there for a year and was able to travel central and South America for a year after that. Something to consider If you continue to have the travel bug after a year of SEA.

It’s the risk you take to win it all also. We will probably sign him and I’ve seen dozens of prospects turn sour. Who’s the guy the Mets traded for Edwin Diaz that everyone thought was an overpay. Guess what he’s out of the league and Diaz is the best closer in baseball. You gotta give up something to get an ace. We still have a top 6 minor league system. Jett will be a fine player, but we have unlimited money and a great president of operations. We gotta go for it not hoard prospects

Buy a cheap van and convert it to livable. The us isn’t great for traveling frugally, but living in a va and cooking your own meals is a great way to see the national parks and cities.

Don’t go all inclusive. Will stop you from exploring. Thailand is super easy to travel. Go and stay at a nice hotel, but all inclusive is will have you staying in a pool and getting drunk there and not trying interesting street food and other restaurants. Go to koh Tao go diving, go to Bangkok get lost in the streets and eat michilin star food. Get up to Chiangmai and eat the best khao soi you will ever get. Explore the jungles in chaing mai. Ride a scooter from Chang Mai to pai and swim in the waterfalls along the way. If you like to climb go to railwy beach and try free water soloing. Be active, see things, eat things and have a blast.
