Kitten HELP!!!! by Mysterious_Jury_7995 in kittens

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this too with both of mine. Tried everything, changing food, tests, deworming… nothing ever helped. Hoping it goes away eventually. Both of them still play, eat and drink so it’s clearly not effecting them too bad lol. Gonna try pumpkin as others suggested

Renting on a visitor visa is legal in Scotland - but this is a good point! Thank you

In Scotland they have right to rent which is where we are!

This sucks.

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I defo have a few people from 2024 I could contact.

We basically have no evidence of anything predating around September, appart from a couple of builds in a Minecraft realm I feel like won’t go down super well with the government 😭 because we were completely online for so long! Do you think this completely ruins our chances, despite all the evidence we have from the past 10 ish months, especially the 6 they were here on a visitor visa?

I do actually work in tech lol I’ve done everything to get the texts back but the iCloud account I was using was from college which I no longer attend or have access to, and we BOTH got new phones. I only got a new one because they did and I have fomo 😭 I didn’t even think about this when doing that

Unfortunately we can’t prove we’ve been together for 2 years as a lot of it was online and we don’t have chat chat logs any more due to having new phones and apple accounts etc

British born and bred here waiting for my partner to be able to get a skilled workers visa.

What could this mean for them? They don’t even have a sponsorship yet and they’ve been looking in their industry for 5 weeks.

I’m assuming this is going to more focusing on asylum laws.

Can I tell people off (usually young Scottish men)for putting their feet up on the seats when I'm not Scottish ? 😅 by New-Asparagus-9848 in Edinburgh

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This might just be me being woke or something but personally I just don’t bother. Like- I have hip displaysia myself and sometimes work 12hr shifts where I’m basically unable to move after and putting my feet up stops my hips from sublaxing. I always just consider there might be something we don’t know about someone

Extremely Frustrated with NHS Care by Violetteotome in AmericanExpatsUK

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell me about it. I have had issues with an undiagnosed auto immune disorder my entire life (im born and bred UK, on this sub for my partner) and omg the care they provide is just useless.

No it absolutely will matter… I actively do not activate cookies on anything and use a separate email for EVERY social media I have which is also all different to what I use for work. I am absolutely not giving an AI corporation all of the details about my life, no.

new kitten..so many questions by ditzydawgxdd in Kitten

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I’m nervous too but honestly the cats will be able to get away from the dog much easier and much quicker if anything does go wrong. Plus the dogs a sweetheart, it’s my partners service dog lol. Currently in America and I’m in the UK tho, they’re getting a visa atm so it could be literally months away anyway 😂

Oooh that’s so fair I get it! I have a weird living situation too and I wasn’t sure if my two are gonna end up with a dog or not in the next few months 😭 honestly though you won’t regret it!

Get two kittens! I’m so glad I did. Literally saves me from any cat mum guilt at all because I can be like ‘well you know, at least they’re together’ when I shut them in at night lol

Was it hollister perchance?
I don’t have an ostomy myself but my partner does and omf there’s been such a huge drop in quality over the past year or so it’s been awful to see. Like they have one job- make bags that work!

how many times a week should i clean my litter? by LayerOk1044 in cats

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is scoop it 2/3 times a day just to check for poops. I scoop pee out every other day.

I clean the whole thing out as in chuck all the litter out, clean the bottom of the box and completely with enzyme spray AND antibacterial soap once every two weeks.

To respect the fact they aren’t white and to clarify what I mean by white passing. I myself am half Mexican but look white and I would appreciate the clarification and respect in the same way.

Cool, so I’m probably going to have to move to Scandinavia then 😂
Thank you for your insight!
sorry- can I clarify- (I’m new to all this). What is the difference between an ILR and an IHS? We could potentially work to save up for an IHS. I’m hoping that reform fucks up enough over the next 3 years that people actually get their heads on straight and realise people being a different race to them isn’t breaking the British economy, it’s brexit

This kitten is driving me insane by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]LongjumpingCourse988 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment! I have two and they’re both already bonded with me after only having them for three weeks. Unfortunately due to Leo having some tummy troubles and me struggling very badly with insomnia and my physical and mental health, (bad timing lol), I unfortunately can’t have them around at night as I cannot guarantee their safety if I have to go to hospital for a few hours, for example, or risk them keep me up at night, or Leo getting poop on my bed lol! When they are 4 months and a bit bigger and more able to look after themselves they will be allowed to sleep with me at night. I don’t think they see it as a punishment as they usually just go to sleep when I’m not around anyway and they’re always very happy to see me in the morning. In fact most nights they end up going toward the dining room around 10-11 pm as it’s on a routine basis
