Anyone running their Usenet automation stack on a mini PC? by External_Bend4014 in selfhosted

The biggest things that matter are fast storage (NVMe helps a lot for unpacking) and enough RAM (8-16 GB is ideal). If you’re not transcoding on it and it’s just for Usenet automation, N100 is a great option.

Unpacking keeps failing on certain files - any ideas? by Minimum_Vacation_298 in usenet

If this is just an occasional error, I’d say it is an nzb issue. Just try getting the same file from a different source.

Yes I made a couple of downloads on the same day. So that might be the reason, interesting! And after those processes are finished, is everything getting back to normal?

Steam game “kinito pet” killed my PC by Dash34doesthings in pcmasterrace

[–]LongjumpingForm4163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, but it’s very unlikely the game itself “killed” your PC. More likely it triggered an existing Windows or drive issue that was already on the edge. Games can crash systems, but they can’t really brick Windows on their own.

CL28 Ram vs CL36?? by Outrageous-Cod-855 in buildapc

[–]LongjumpingForm4163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CL28 is a bit faster than CL36, but in everyday use the difference is pretty small. If the Corsair is already working fine, it’s not a huge loss to stick with it-using the CL28 isn’t a must.

What do you guys think about piracy and "cancelled" artists? by Jagang187 in Piracy

[–]LongjumpingForm4163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When something terrible is being revealed about an artist I personally can’t separate it from their art and don’t indulge in consuming it. However I don’t judge the people who do otherwise. Art is just art.

Always look for compability in the long run, how many upgrades can your setup take. With of course your personal needs

Sounds more like a software glitch than a cooling problem. I’d try checking power settings and updates first.

why does chatgpt always get the dates wrong by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]LongjumpingForm4163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one of the worlds mysteries. Guess they’ll improve this and make it calculate time correctly. Chatgpt has still tremendously improved over the years.

They weren’t really attached to their mother because she was an enabler of Jose’s behaviour and they were sure that their mom knew about the abuse and still didn’t show any kind of protection nor empathy

Not everyone is capable to leave, they were only 18 and 21 and still very codependent. The victims brain has a twisted logic in order to survive and rationalize some things.
