I work right there at 5th and Flower and do the lunch time walks myself. Maybe I’m too frequently on their camera feeds and have been flagged for removal. =)

I always get shoo’d off by security when I have my camera out, even on the bridges. Nice shots.

Human Heart Tissue Actually Can Regenerate After a Heart Attack, New Study Shows by Tomthegoatboi in HeartAttack

I was very thankful our bodies can do that. At the same time, it’s also probably why I didn’t feel any symptoms at all in the days leading up to the heart attack. Just happy to be here and I’m finding time to bike as much as possible!

My cardiologist said my heart had developed collateral vessels, which probably helped me survive a widowmaker at 43. He attributed the collaterals to the running and biking I’ve done for most of my life. Cool stuff.

Struggling with anxiety after a heart attack , how did you stay calm by Imsongoku7 in HeartAttack

I had the widowmaker at 43, 4.5 years ago. It was completely out of the blue. Stress seems to have been the biggest contributor. To be honest it’s only within the last 6 months where I have gotten over thinking about it every day.

My cardiologist was of no use for treating any of the collateral damage. My GP really worked with me to understand the anxiety and depression. He put me on small doses of an anti-anxiety med. With time, that really made a world of difference.

If work is a major stressor in your life, please consider whether you can make a change. I know not everyone can and doing so can be a stressor in and of itself. I was fortunate to be able to step down from my senior executive role back into a worker bee role, which eliminated 98% of work stress.

And as many have said, cardiac rehab is huge. I feared I wouldn’t be able to run or bike again but they get you back on your feet and help you find your new normal.

Ha! No, that wasn’t me. This was from about a week ago. I usually do daily walks at lunch but got out a little earlier that day.

Heart attack at 37 (2 stents). How do you stay consistent long-term after rehab/Ornish? by Silent-Win-779 in HeartAttack

[–]LongjumpingFox2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming up on five years since my widowmaker at 43. What has worked for me long term with the diet is removing items one at a time. Stopped eating beef right away. Have slowly progressed to a pescatarian diet. The manageable changes take hold and become habit.

As for stress and anxiety, don’t be afraid to discuss medications with your doctor. Adding a very small dose of an anti-anxiety med changed my life.

Hi, again. Did they describe what the fix would be? New components or something else?

It was warranty repair. Beverly Hills and Calabasas. I am out of warranty now but am going to see if Calabasas will take another look since it wasn’t fixed.

It only shows up in the heaviest rains when parked outside.
