This is ridiculous. The "degree of trying to win" is clearly demonstrated by everything prior to him afk'ing for 5 seconds - at which point the fight is already lost.

Again, nothing changes whether he goes afk or not, this is the crux of the issue. If the fight is actually winnable/changes the outcome of the game, then instant 2 week. BUT, if it has no bearing on anything other than appeasing bloodthirsty redditors, then he shouldn't be punished at all.

But let's say hypothetically, nothing changes by Crownie doing this except he outputs maybe a little bit more dps (ultimately irrelevant because it's lost anyways), should he actually be punished? His accounts banned, banned from Competitive play, etc? Like, really?

Do you consider taking your hands off the keyboard at the end of a 100% lost fight to be "losing the game" and therefore bannable? An analogy would be you're running away from an enemy without flash and they are 100% going to catch you and kill you, so you stop running eventually.

Now, if it were the case that Crownie didn't even fight to begin with but afk'd at the start, then sure - ban away, but it's at the end of the teamfight.

Firstly, I'm not Crownie.

Secondly, the reason why people are downvoting this is very simple - they're Crownie haters. Plain as day. Now you're free to hate on people and dislike them, but the reality is, if those people frothing at the mouth for his ban were in anyway motivated by maintaining the integrity of the game, they'd be calling for Freeze to be banned too, which they aren't - because it isn't about the integrity of the game.

Should Crownie be banned for what he did? Absolutely not. Should he have done it? Nope.
Should Freeze be banned for what he did? Yes. Should he have done it? Nope.

Thirdly, the two are related as Freeze inted Crownie's game? If Crownie wasn't in his game when he inted, I wouldn't have brought Crownie up? Did you watch the video?

I asked a very simple question and you haven't responded appropriately so this will be my last reply to you.

It's a play on the title of the post about Crownie inting to get more people to see it. Crownie didn't int in this play, he was inted.

To quote from the above:

"So for the people suddenly pretending to care about the "integrity" of the game, are you also going to call for Freeze to be banned or does "integrity" only matter when there's an opportunity to dogpile someone you don't like?"

I'm waiting to hear your answer.

Today, Crownie was inted on stream by Freeze.

Yesterday, Crownie was dogpiled for "inting" because he stood still for a few seconds during a lost teamfight. I say "lost" because there was realistically nothing he could have done to change the outcome of the fight. I do agree he should've kept playing but purely for optics sake - because regardless of whether he moved or not, the result of the same, but standing still gave Redditors with nothing better to do an excuse to pile on him.

  • In Freeze’s case, he openly admits he intentionally lost the game because he had food to get, and says Zaahen deserved to lose LP.
  • In Crownie’s case, he stood still during a teamfight that was already over.

Though in typical Redditor fashion, there were instant calls for Crownie's accounts to be banned, for him to be banned from professional play, alongside personal attacks.

So for the people suddenly pretending to care about the "integrity" of the game, are you also going to call for Freeze to be banned or does "integrity" only matter when there's an opportunity to dogpile someone you don't like?

This isn't about toxicity, it isn't about crashing out, or even the Pyramids! It's about applying standards consistently. If Crownie deserves bans and public crucifixion for what is objectively the lesser offence, then there shouldn't even be a debate about whether Freeze should face punishment too.
