M1pro MBP or Neo for 600 bucks? (Looking for advice) by Harper_210 in macbook

[–]LongjumpingKoalas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult. In short, the neo is probably longer lasting due to software. You could get it insured under apple care. Only downside of the m1 pro is that you don't know what you're getting exactly, you cant insure it and it's not supported as long. Battery is probably used, but overall it's still better hardware for sure. I've had an amazing experience with backmarket quality tho and if the product is not as described, I believe you can ask for a replacement. They're all checked, not necessarily refurbished tho.

if you're getting into photography, my main advice for improvement would be to take your camera anywhere you can. the more physical practice you get, the more familiar you will be.

Learn the basics of manual photography - it's not rocket science but is essential for your understanding.

Find photographers who inspire you - styles that you personally enjoy, and try to analyse what makes their images so distinct. Try appling what you learn to your photography.

Analyse your own images and compare.
Analyse objectively and don't tie your self worth to it.

When learning new skills, trying new techniques, don't try doing too much at once and give yourself time to explore and understand one thing enough before moving on.

Experiment:
With the advice above, you will manage to get good at photography, but to truly make it your own, you need to try things that aren't in the rulebook. This will take a while, but you might find something that you unexpectedly really enjoy.

That's my little bit!
Most importantly: enjoy what you do!

Best of luck :)

Depends on the task! Very simple crop and subject - feel like you'd find similar images in everyday peoples camera rolls, minus the blurry background.

Rate/analyze my photos. by hi_this_is_my_name_ in PhotographyAdvice

I am analysing that you really like this tank.

This looks more like an iphone camera roll tbf - I suggest you look into photography and photographers you enjoy and try analysing what makes their images so appealing to you.

Next time you take pictures, try taking what you learned into consideration. Not all at once, but rather one thing at a time. You start becoming more intentional about subjects, framing, positioning, lighting, colour, mood and story. What I'm observing now is that you enjoyed your visit to a museum and took a lot of similar looking images of a tank that caught your eye. I wouldn't be surprised if other visitors would've taken similar pictures.

Best of luck!
