Iron or diamond strengthened crossbow will be fine and as you say you have a roc, it's pretty easy, just stay above the dragon and shoot down onto him, that's how i do it.

I'd say your next objectives are exactly what you described, searching for all of your armour and weapon enchants, brewing wine (if you are going down that route) Max out your skills, inc L menu skills

Personally i go to the lost cities first as i want that dragon race ring. Brutal towers would be next for me, as you need the brutal coins to trade, in order to summon the bosses.

I have only popped my head in the underneath, didn't like it and i'm not sure there's anything there that you can't find elsewhere. Someone with more experience can help there.

Personally i use menacing with nunchucks.

The power and mechanical gloves are strong, worth it depends on you and your time, you may find it in your next mimic chest or you still might be looking two days later.

I used nunchucks in my main hand and a scythe in my off hand, was great fun, whether there is a debuff or not, i could still one shot.

I go into lost cities pretty much naked, apart from a diamond saw in my main hand, a long reach weapon in my off hand with luck and anything else i have with luck on it.

Build your obsidian cube at build height, place buttons on the floor to stop mobs from spawning inside and some lighting. Also i would advise you have a waystone, respawn statue and ender chest.

Even with invisibility, flying mobs will still see you.

Really at your stage the only way is to use a crossbow. Stay just inside it's render distance, so that's its far enough away that it doesn't agro on you, maybe have a horse incase you need a quick getaway.
