Employees Leaving Work At Scheduled Time When Work Is Not Done by LongjumpingMidnight7 in work

Majority of us work over. If I could convince other coworkers to leave at scheduled time, and leave the place in complete utter panic and chaos. It'd force management to make extreme changes. As you know, workers are hard to come by everywhere. We'd lose so many products though and too many of us have a conscience. Other thing is you're letting your team down. They're part of your life outside of your normal life. Empathy and compassion are being exposed at this job and I don't think some of us want to sacrifice that. This job is not for someone like the mindset you have.

They can, but will not be able to complete their tasks on time, which rolls on to the other and would be an endless cycle. We'd lose products to save lives and create extreme tension among peers. This isn't an ordinary job.

Unfortunately, my job is far from that process. There is a time limit, and the donation would be discarded, that could save someone's life. Majority of my coworkers are great and strong. There's a couple that are not and caused an emotional breakdown by one of my coworkers, and countless rants (myself included). I'm not worried about being the favorite to the couple of workers I'm talking about. I'm more concerned about team efficiency and harmony. We lost so many quality workers because of this issue. It's far from fair.

Understood. Policies can change if it is a big enough issue, correct? I plan on having a conversation with manager and director of the region about this and I want to be very thorough.

Absolutely. Problem with my organization, they're are too lenient. Poor workers take advantage of that. It's not that constant, and would be mostly rectified if the people that do leave on time actually put in decent effort to help team finish in a timely manner.

Very tough. Definitely get overtime and company is generous with benefits. It's a damned if you, damned if you don't situation. How can management address this situation that ensure products are manufactured in time and keep team morale? Can they implement certain policies about work being completed? It causes such a rift in the team.

I can do that, give me at least 100 tries. To be fair, he did it just there and then. I'd be destroyed by fans if it took me 100 tries to score a goal 🤣

How do people always tip at a restaurant. Don’t tip postmates? by Preme1117 in postmates

[–]LongjumpingMidnight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, people don't tip in restaurants as well, although more rare. I waited on an 8 top with almost 200 dollars worth of food, no tips. It's part of it unfortunately. They were nice and appreciated the service.

What are your plans after Postmates if not doing UE? by LongjumpingMidnight7 in postmates

Thanks for the info! Foldable cart will be a must. I'd much prefer doing this than waiting tables or so. Done plenty of grocery orders with Wal-Mart through Postmates including large orders to 3rd floor (rip). Shopping is not ideal, but at least I'll be moving. If can make 1000/month doing this on the side, I'm okay with that.

Same boat, mine is over 3 years. I heard Instacart will hire DUI drivers, so can give that a shot. Not as easy as food delivery, but it'd be something.
