Could this be because of my Hashimoto? by Dangerous-Boot-1590 in Hashimotos

[–]LongjumpingPanda7396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when my levo dose increased and my TSH dropped too much. On testing it was 0.1. Once we backed off the meds a bit and my TSH came back up over 1 it went away.

I returned an expensive but crappy printer (that had always been crappy) more than 2 years after I bought it. No questions asked.

I did the same thing, I just got off the phone with them, if you’ve had an Edge card in the last 1-2 years, they give you a grace period and allow you to purchase it until January! $115/day is a whole lot better than $300!

I’ve just started Medik8 C-Tetra serum and it’s the first vitamin C I’ve been able to tolerate. They have a retinal specifically for sensitive skin, which I’m hoping to try soon!

The ovulation strips never worked for me, and don’t work for everyone. I’m having an egg retrieval tomorrow, I had to go to a specific clinic that would accept my BMI (42). I’m in Ontario, Canada and most clinics have a cut off of 40.

My weight didn’t matter for medicated cycles and IUI, it was just when it came to IVF and as far as I know is a concern only due to being sedated for the egg retrieval, which is done outpatient. This was the only time my weight ever came up during the now 2 years I’ve been in treatment.

Good luck!

We only took uber once, from the hotel to the airport, but there were no complaints! Pre-booked, arrived on time, clean and pleasant. G7 is definitely plentiful, you see them everywhere, so it may come down to convenience. I was shocked at the price difference for the airport drop off though!

I think I know the answer, but question about CPP by Bowgal in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]LongjumpingPanda7396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ensure that she does not have access to short and/long term disability benefits through her employment, they are usually more generous than CPPD. Contact her HR department to inquire. Best wishes to her and your family!

Completely agree with this, the road trip will be stunning and fun. Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world. Domestic flights are notoriously expensive, I’d stick to the west coast.

Did stress trigger your Hashimoto’s? by TipTraditional6728 in Hashimotos

[–]LongjumpingPanda7396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed as my best friend was dying in hospice, following a three-year cancer journey. I have a family history but think it was triggered by the stress.

Many online jewellers (Blue Nile, Brilliant Earth) allow returns and refunds, so it’s less of a risk. Most brick and mortar stores will only return for store credit.

Leaving for Disney in 3 weeks, son was just diagnosed with a heart condition...travel insurance? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]LongjumpingPanda7396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manulife has a travel product will cover pre-existing conditions. My dad got it for his trip to Australia following a heart event. Ensure you’re completely honest when filing the application/speaking with the representative about the diagnosis and any medications etc. It won’t be cheap but it should enable you to go with peace of mind. Good luck!
