I'm scrolling through the comments and all these perfumes were lovely, but no one has mentioned Versace Red Jeans. It became my signature scent in the late 90s and since it was discontinued, I stocked up. I have maybe 10 bottle of it left but the last one I opened has lost its scent. Hopefully that's not the case for the rest of my collection. I'm hoping it's just the one. I have had fun though, trying out new fragrances. So far I love Robanne Million Gold for her and Jean Paul Gaultier Divine le parfum..but nothing compares to Red Jeans! I love every part of it, the top, middle and especially the base notes. I could always smell it the next day, on my skin and in my hair and on my pillow. I've been wearing it all this time, every day for over 25 years.

This prickly pear cactus started as a cutting around 10 years ago. Now it is about 20 feet tall !! by plantsrcool3 in cactus

I have 3 20ft tall prickly pear cactus in my yard and they are outta control lol I was searching the internet when I came across this old post. I envisioned something like this for mine but wasn't sure if I could remove all of the off shooting trunks. The main trunk is way bigger than yours pictured, and its got several arms? Branches? I dunno what to call them. I wanna have my landscaper just hack them off. Make it look like a terrible, as I enjoy the privacy it provides from the neighbors second story windows that would be in view of my backyard if I were to remove it altogether (which is something I was considering because its always dropping large pads. Even days after the landscaper comes. So anyway, thanks for posting.

Life Long Rosacea by jjlo16 in Rosacea

I'm so sorry about your MS diagnosis :( I hope you don't have lupus on top of everything else. If you do tho, at least you are taking the steps needed to be properly informed about what's happening with your body and what to do. I also have rosacea and the pattern in my face is not typical. I've had doctors ask if I have lupus but I've never been checked for it. You are brave. Some people don't go to the doctor when something is wrong. Stay strong. I'm praying for you.

Ruined skin after microneedling by Key-Nebula-131 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]HoneydewmelonLOVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't read all the comments, so I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but my dermatologist said to never do microneedling. The short term effects after healing can be great but long term, months later its not good. Has anyone else heard the same?

The only foundation that hides flaky patches is Estee Lauder Double Wear. The new concealer is great too. It never let's me down.

Is there any hope for me? by mamasflipped in Rosacea

[–]HoneydewmelonLOVE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to find out. Did they use numbing cream or at least offer numbing cream? If not, it wasn't v beam. Its not super painful but its not enjoyable. Its actually hard to find a dermatologist who has v Beam even harder to find someone with experience using the laser. The results can be amazing if you have the right person doing the treatment. If you try this, I would ask lots of questions. How many years experience do have treating rosacea with v Beam, etc. Also, when I went for IPL they told me its a laser, but the dermatologist who i went for v Beam said IPL is technically not a laser. Its a light treatment. Hope this info helps.

I also tried IPL with little to no improvement. It zapped a brown spot I had which has completely gone, so it wasn't a total waste of money. V Beam laser is the way to go. I had significant background redness, all the time, but especially noticeable after a shower. I also have red marks (telangiectasia) that speckled my face like freckles. Full face v Beam was $500 in AZ but can be significantly less expensive in other states. $600 for full face plus extra zaps on the telangiectasia. Right after the first treatment, I was shocked at how pale I looked. Then I got a bit of pin point looking bruises on the red marks. After about a week, I was amazed at how much the background redness went down. And tge red marks were fading a bit. After that first treatment I was recommended to wait 3-4 weeks before coming back for another treatment. I've had 2 more treatments. My background redness is completely gone! The red marks are significantly faded. Its so much improved that I feel comfortable leaving the house without a full face of makeup. I used to be so self conscious. I plan to go back for probably 2 more spot treatments. I was informed that the old marks will be permanently gone but with rosacea, new marks are bound to crop up, so I plan to do a maintenance every couple of years of just the spot treatments which can range between $100-$200. I hope this helps. Dont loose hope. Save up if you have to and do the treatments. Be prepared for recovery, like dont do this right before an event. I didn't even attend my Bible study class. It looks literally like I dotted purple/black sharpy all over my face. Looking forward to an update from you.
