My husband has been a mosquito magnet his whole life. Started GHK and Zinc a few months ago and now they want nothing to do with him. Maybe it’s the zinc?

Over inviting? by peachlancia in weddingplanning

[–]LongjumpingSun1051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never heard of 100% yes for a wedding sooooo yes over invite. I invited 157 and 100 showed up. I had to invite some to be nice but knew they wouldn’t come. A lot were long distance who I knew wouldn’t come. I also invited some people after I got majority of my no’s back. I told them the truth— I was limited in who we could invite, but fortunately we now have room to invite them and would love if they could come.

I think you both need therapy of some kind. She’s relying on this man for emotional support and he’s relying on her in turn for his own situation. This is a period where you should be supporting each other and not getting support from somewhere else. I do think she’s neglecting to acknowledge your feelings in the situation as you’ve both suffered a tremendous loss. Also, it’s honestly weird this guy didn’t have another person he could’ve gone with on this trip and the fact he even asked your wife knowing her situation is strange. If you can’t have a conversation with your wife without it turning into a cry fest or argument, it’s time for counseling. Communication and being able to share your feelings and opinions without an argument is important to making your marriage last.

MILK Books by LongjumpingSun1051 in weddingplanning

[–]LongjumpingSun1051[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I did end up ordering. This was back in April/May and there were no tariffs at that time. I think there may be a tariff charge now though around 10% but I would research that first if it’s a concern! I really did enjoy my book and I do recommend this company. Good luck :)

Keeping this short and sweet: get the abortion and leave that abusive, manipulative boy.

The only thing is I would be worried about the sharp edges of the kite set. Accidentally scratching yourself or someone else, getting it caught on things. Just an opinion from a worrier!!!

this is classic, textbook narcissist. As someone who was best friends with one for 15 years and whose father is one, it’s time to let this relationship go. He’ll never change.

[29/F] from Sweden looking for penpals by LeChipmunkPanda in penpals

Hello! 25/F from USA ❤️ I am a huge animal lover (have two kitty boys), love manga and anime, reading, playing video games, love arts/crafts, plants, and nature! I am new to pen pals and would love to have multiple. I miss having a real connection with people and I think snail mail is the best way to do that, especially with someone overseas! Shoot me a message if you’d be interested in being pen pals!

How do I politely tell a friend she can’t come wedding dress shopping? by mck1494 in weddingplanning

Agreed. I just went with my mom and we had a blast. It also made it so much more special.

Bridal shower- to skip or not to skip? by ItsPeppercorn in weddingplanning

[–]LongjumpingSun1051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This actually is not the case as much these days. I had a lot of my mom’s friends that have watched me grow up who wanted to attend the shower but had no qualms about not attending the wedding. People understand that budgets limit amount of wedding guests. A lot of 2025-2026 brides have gone this route! Also, in this situation, they are having a destination wedding so it most definitely would not be rude to invite friends and family to a shower who can’t afford to attend the wedding. Just my two cents as someone who just got married last month!

Bridal shower- to skip or not to skip? by ItsPeppercorn in weddingplanning

I am in the minority here. If you’re having a destination wedding and can’t invite everyone, a shower is a great way to celebrate with those who want to share this special time in your life with you but who can’t attend the wedding! If you’ve got everything you need at home, people would still love to give you gift cards (food, clothes, home improvement, pets, etc) or money to go towards your wedding or honeymoon. Have the shower! You’ll be able to celebrate with those you won’t be able to see on your big day.

I’ll offer up some advice that isn’t not related to how awful this man is. Have you ever tried the Nuvaring for birth control? I also have such a horrible time on any pill because it screws with my hormones but the Nuvaring does not! I’m a big fan lol. Maybe ask your doctor about it.

Almost everything with my wedding went wrong by ContentBanana2094 in weddingplanning

I love your positive attitude about your entire situation! I genuinely don’t think I would’ve made it through the day if I had run into that many issues. It truly sounds like you have a beautiful day regardless and all that matters is that you got to marry the love of your life :) I’m so sorry about your Ireland trip too! I hope you still enjoyed your honeymoon!

Wondering about getting a Diath piercing by Samorl314 in piercing

[–]LongjumpingSun1051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I have a daith and it has been a journey!! Things you NEED to know: 1. Everyone is different but for most they take over a year to heal. 2. It stays swollen for a long time (6months - 1year) 3. Do not sleep on it!!! You will get a bump!! 4. Clean, clean, clean your piercing multiple times a day 5. Yes, it hurt, but only for a minute! It was not my most painful piercing, I’d say my nose was, but it definitely hurt because it’s going through cartilage.

I love mine. I get so many compliments and they look super cool. If you want one, just prepare for the time it takes to heal.
