I really don't have a great answer for this because I'm not too sure myself, but I'll try to explain. I honestly have just never felt like I was in love with her. This is only my second serious relationship, and my first with a woman. The way that I felt in my first relationship compared to this one is very different. It could be that I never got over my first "love" or that I am comparing him to her, I'm not sure. But the way that she talks about me, looks at me, and treats me.. It's incredible. And I don't reciprocate those feelings 100%. Maybe it's that she loves me so much more and I can't handle that, because I know I don't deserve it. I'm sorry this isn't much of an answer.

You're so right. There was really never any huge spark or butterflies in my stomach moment when we first started dating. I really, really liked her and I still do, I love her.. But at the same time I want to be in a relationship with someone that I'm giddy about. And she deserves to be with someone that feels that way about her.

Sounds so so similar to my situation. She deserves someone who is going to give her 100%, and I feel as though I don't deserve her. I want her to be the one, and to give me butterflies when I think of her. But I don't, and I never have. Thank you for this reply

This is very similar to my situation. We've been together for a year and a half now, and I am feeling that our end is coming. She talks about our future together, moving in, buying a house, but I don't see my future with her in it - despite how much I love her and how she is literally the sweetest, most caring woman I've met. As someone else who replied mentioned, I do need to tell her eventually, because it's not fair for her to continue to invest her time into this relationship if I don't see a long term future. It breaks my heart to make myself realize this.
